Don’t Stay Here

I rented a room with a balcony that was supposed to have a view of the canal but the view was mostly of the air conditioners for the property next door. There was a small view of the water if I looked hard enough. There were dust bunnies rolling around on the floor. There was hair on the bathtub. The cabinet door in the kitchenette area was falling off and the sheets were pilled. I was given a different room for the second night that did have a view of the water and was cleaner and in better repair but it was much smaller and the mattress as horrendous. Also, the TV in the second room only got about four channels and the wireless was spotty and unreliable. There was a coffee maker in the room but no coffee. If I wanted coffee I had to walk nearly a city block down the street to the office. There I could get a small cup of coffee but there were no lids. So I had to walk nearly a city block with two cups of coffee in my hands that didn’t have lids. It seems this outfit has three different buildings. The two other buildings looked to be in better repair from the outside than the one I stayed in but I did not ever see the inside of those buildings. The building I stayed in had siding laying on the deck and lots of peeling paint. The whole thing needs a major refresh. The staff was attentive but they couldn’t do much to improve my stay.

Not what was advertised

We booked this property through It wasn't what I expected...definitely not like the photos that were shown. It's a 2 floor motel. It is right on the water so that was nice. We were told in advance that we had to pay $20 plus tax (which ended up being $29 Canadian dollars) for the use of two towels and free wine and beer inside the lobby. Never used a towel and didn't drink so that was just a waste of money. We couldn't wait to wake up and leave. There were no photos of the building showing it was a motel. Would not recommend or stay there again. Please go onto Airbnb and compare the photos so you see why were not happy.

5 star resort. 5 star service!! Highly recommend!!

If you’re looking for a family owned resort to stay at in Florida I HIGHLY recommend staying here! The staff was AMAZING! They remembered Me and Jaxtyn’s name and greeted us every day. They have a cool texting program that you can text them all day and into the evening if you need recommendations on things to do or restaurants or if you simply need more towels. They were beyond helpful and very quick to respond. The resort it’s self was amazing. It had a classic 1950s feel but it was well kept with fresh updates and it was always clean throughout the resort. What I liked best was you never had to Leave the resort to have fun. The amenities were second to none for us. Plenty of seating, sun and shade. They had cute tiki huts outside the rooms. They had a nice clean pool with a dolphin water fountain with A tiki bar ! 🍹 There was even a place to grill out. The room were fully stocked with appliances, pots, pans, plates and silverware. So you can save a penny eating “at home”. They also have free mini golf, shuffle board, corn hole, ping pong table, Jenga, connect four, fooseball, and chess. The resort is right on the Gulf of Mexico so you can walk right to your private beach. Tons of lounging chairs and a volleyball area. The resort was perfectly located, you could walk to local restaurants very easily. They also have a total of 3 resorts (one is pet friendly) you can stay at one and play at all three!! Let’s just say we loved our stay so much we already made reservations for next year!! We plan to make this a yearly trip!! Special thanks to Sheldon the manager for making us feel so welcome and to Shane and Tyrell who provided us 5 star service! Plaza Beach Resorts ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Can't say enough about the awesome staff. Friendliest, fun, people. They really love people!!! Sheldon, Jackie, & Shane, we're beyond AWESOME. Please check this place out. You step back in time to the 1950's. They have a mini golf course. A machine that make cotton candy. Cute rooms. Everything and everyone were so friendly. Even the cleaning lady and another guy dumping trash. They have Jenga to a huge chess game, they have other things for family fun. PLUS it is right on the water. You have to check this place out. Oh they also have a bathroom is the only one in the world with walls, ceiling, floors made of pennies. That is something to see.
