Disappointed

Reviewed 14 november, 2021

Hotel is short of staff so every aspect was influenced. Waited for a long time to check in and finally did that through a kiosk. My room was poor and I tried to switch but was told nothing else was available until the next day. I was assured someone would contact me when the new room was available. This did not happen. My room was okay but the bathroom cleanliness was terrible. Numerous long black hairs were on the floor and the shower drain. Nothing was done to address this. Asking guests to pay $10 for 10 minutes of internet access (to print documents for travel besides a boarding pass) seems like a cash grab. The whole environment was average at best.

Not even mediocre

Reviewed 9 november, 2021

The pictures are very deceiving. Rooms look huge. But they are very small. We stayed in a king room. There was no fridge, microwave or coffee pot. The bed was the most uncomfortable and hard bed I’ve ever slept on. There’s a resort fee with nothing extra to do. Check in was easy but untraditional. Very minimal contact. With no option to request a particular room. We got stuck on the 4th floor with a view of the roof. Which was confusing considering the lack of customers. The food was horrible at Joes sports bar inside the casino. The food was both bland and overly salty depending on what we ordered. The only food that was good there was the food from Hells Kitchen. But it was super pricey. The casino was dead. And the games were mostly outdated. There was no maid service unless requested. The shops closed super early every day. And the “shows” were limited and quit boring. The only real plus about this place is the fact that it’s right on the boarder and within walking distance to a bunch of things to do. Including a tunnel to Harrahs across the street. Which was a much nicer place to be. Without the location being good, this place would receive a 1 star in my eyes. We stayed there because we thought it would be a nicer place than some of the smaller lodges. But in reality, I’d stay at any of those places over this place, every time in the future. I’d much rather stay in a rustic looking lodge over an outdated “high end” casino resort next time. A five minute drive either way and you’ll see tons of other options.

I was quoted a grand total of 218.62 Very mediocre room. Paid 55.86 down payment. On checkout I was billed 285.66 for a grand total of 341.52. I was told when I called that they keep $50 a night for incidentals. Which they refund in 7-10 days. doesnt add up. Harveys used to be the jewel of Tahoe. Very tired. No table games till night. Then only a few tables.Very sad to see.

Impersonating a resort hotel

No valet parking. You go across a dark lot to a dark parking garage, which you pay to park in unless you have a room key. No personalized check in. The only employee at the front desk directed me to a kiosk. Forget about giving a floor or location preference: he said the room are already pre-programmed and not changeable. Lucky me, I got to be across from the elevator. No housekeeping service, at all, unless requested. No coffee in the rooms unlike previous visits. Bring your money and wait in line at the downstairs Starbucks, which doesn't honor Starbucks rewards. No food or drink service anymore at the pool, even by phone. Restaurants, mostly closed. The top floor steakhouse was closed the 2 days we stayed. So what are you paying for in the resort fee? The supervisor at the front desk said the wifi internet and pool. I could have lived without the wifi and used cell service instead, but you aren't given the choice. The supervisor refused to adjust this charge, even partially. They will charge you $28.50 a night resort fee (even though the room card states $25. Our 2 night stay was $83.52 extra in fees and taxes alone. I frequent Caesars properties, but not anymore. Not only are they saving money not hiring the extra help, but they're having you pay a ridiculous charge despite an absolute lack of service.

The service was excellent. The staff gives people the royal treatment, I greatly appreciated it. Sage restaurant was amazing and a definite must do. I never had to go to a bar for a drink, the wait staff was fast every time.
