Hotel Terminus Stockholm

One night stay for business. Booked a single room which was spotless and has everything I need. Got in late so decided to eat in restaurant- what a great surprise. Staff are friendly and efficient (as was the receptionist) and went above and beyond to give me a delicious meal with friendly service. A refreshing change from the usual bright lights and minimal decor of other hotels in Stockholm this is an older building with darker more intimate spaces and I love the bar/restaurant. The WiFi is free and works well and in the bar you can feel the metro rumbling below but no issue with this in the rooms above. Will come back. Just a few minutes easy walk from the Arlanda Express.

A great located hotel situated just opposit to the railwaystation. Cozy interior and good breakfast. Rooms are small and sometimes there is noise from the underlying metro. Friendly an personal staff.

Old hotel with interior from the 80’s. Nice in a strange way. Im sure this hotel was really something 20 years ago. Room was ok with the same old interior. Bathroom new and nice, but very small. No water boiler and coffee in room is always a minus. I dont get it. Its a very low cost, and business travellers like that while working in the room at the evening. The small things..... Wifi terrible slow, gave up and used mobile instead. Very cozy bar and moderate priced drinks. Staff all over very nice. Breakfast ok. Location is 100 %. Price ok.

Most of the reviews mention the location, convenient to the train terminal, as it was for us also-we trained in and trained out.Good for walking to tourist sites, also. But we especially want to praise the breakfasts, which were excellent. Very extensive breakfast offering: eggs of all kinds,sausage, bacon, cheeses, coffee, breads and rolls, pastries, fruits, cereals. Nice comfortable atmosphere in the dining room too. Best way to get started for the day. The room we stayed in itself was roomy, heated floors in the bathroom, furniture a little dated (but they seem to be updating this older classic building). No problem with any noise.Front desk a little understaffed on arrival.

This hotel is great for location, across the road from Central Station and the buses to the airport. But that location comes at a cost - the underground metro runs underneath and provides a low level rumble when trains pass through, more noticeable in the early hours of the morning. Otherwise, the room was adequate, but on the small side and rather poorly lit, as its small window faced on to the internal courtyard. The bathroom was fairly modern and also adequate. Breakfast was okay, with a good selection to choose from. My main concern is the left luggage room. We needed to leave our bags there for a few hours after checkout. The receptionist buzzed us in to the left luggage room, which is some distance from the reception area and around a corner, so well hidden, and left on our own to stow our luggage there. Anyone could have followed us in, or alternatively, we could have made off with someone else’s goods. When we returned to collect our bags, we were once again buzzed in, so could have made off with anything. Security in this area needs to be strengthened, urgently. Otherwise, beware if you’re planning to leave your luggage there after checkout.
