Simple, nice, clean, and well functioning.
We were a group of about 15 people - foreign and Swedish - who were recommended to check this place. GOOD CHOICE!! We loved it. Small, cosy, friendly staff. No luxury, but we were not looking for such place.
Everything you need for a short stay
Having read some pretty brutal reviews on here, I was a bit nervous, but honestly this place offered everything I needed and more. Yes, the room was small, but all I really needed was a bed and a bathroom! Everything was clean and comfortable, and the staff were (or was -- I only saw one member of staff while we were there) happy to help with any issues we had. The room was a little cold, but a small space heater was provided; there were only three pillows on the bed, but I requested another one which was quickly supplied. Breakfast, too, was simple but good, and they were able to supply us with gluten-free bread, which was much appreciated. The location is great, especially if you're going to Globen or to the Old Town, and it's super close to the metro so the rest of the city is pretty easily accessible too. And sure, there's no view (or even window!) as the hotel is located below ground level, but as I was only staying overnight and didn't need to spend much time in the room itself, it was great value and offered everything I could need. I'd happily stay here again.
Friendly staff and rooms good enough
Breakfast is nice, friendly staff, beware that hotel is in the basement of the building. Rooms really small and no window. Location is good near the subway and more than enough restaurants in the area
Simple bed and breakfast
No frills, simple bed and breakfast. Reasonable value for money as we got a reasonable quite last minute deal for a short stopover in Stockholm. It's however not particularly central in the city for tourists (taxi or a long walk into the main city centre). However being located in Sodermalm, it is closer to a few other attractions, such as the Fotografiska photography museum. There is a good-going pretty steep set of steps at the entrance... So if you're packing a heavy suitcase, be sure you can lug it up and down! The breakfast was a little limited in options, but the staff were very friendly, approachable and welcoming and with most requests (eg hairdryer etc) they accommodated as best they can. Represents reasonable value for money.
Good value for money, but indifferent service
The hotel was very good value for money, at almost half the price of other hotels I searched out. Its location is generally very good; being 250 yards from Skannstull subway station. From there it is less that 10 minutes to Central Stockholm by Subway, and about 25 minutes walk. It was 2 minutes walk from the Clarion Conference Hotel (my reason for being in Stockholm). The rooms have no windows, but so what: they are clean and large enough (for one person at least). My rrom did not have a wardrobe and so you have to be content to live out your suitcase (I am).I might have given it 4 stars had it not been for some unnecessary service niggles. I was there for 4 nights and during that time breakfast (continental) did not appear one morning; another day there was no cleaning of the room by house keeping; and on a third the touch card "key" for the door did not work. Fortunately the latter incident happened early evening and could be corrected. Reception is not manned overnight and so if it had happened later I would have spent the night sleeping in the lounge.
