Got Room Here for Same Price at Staybridge Suites
Opinión escrita el 12 de enero de 2023
I did not book at Staybridge Suites ahead of time because we were just not sure how far we would make it on our drive from MD to Michigan. When we arrived the Staybridge Suites were filled but right next door at The Fairfield Inn we got a room for the price of booking ahead at the Fairfield and not being about to cancel. Our room was newly renovated and very clean. Breakfast was really nice with little quiches, bacon and much more. We had a great easy night stay.
Great choice for location, price, quiet stay.

We stayed at this Fairfield Inn on Christmas evening, after spending the day with our family. The check in rep was very friendly and welcoming. She even provided me with a corkscrew for our gifted bottle of wine. Our room was on the 2nd floor, near the elevator, but still was very quiet. The room was clean and the beds (2Q) were comfortable. In the morning, although we were later than normal going down to the provided breakfast, there were still plenty of choices available, and the very cheerful attendant was constantly replenishing and keeping the counters and tables spotless. We have stayed at several hotels in the past few months due to travels, and this Fairfield Inn was by far the best for price, cleanliness, location and breakfast.
Great Business Stay

I had a pleasant stay at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Akron/Stow from 9/5 leaving 9/9. The drive from the Cleveland Airport was about 45 minutes, there was a $1.50 toll on the Ohio Turnpike that I didn't expect. I thought my route using Google Maps would take me a toll-less way, it did not, not the property's fault. I wanted to be close to where I would be working from for the week, and have amenities nearby. Having a complimentary breakfast, pool (which I didn't use), and being a Lifetime Silver Elite Member were the reasons to stay here. I checked-in and received a 3rd floor room (out of 4) a few doors away from the elevator and ice machine. Oh, there was plenty of parking as well. There was a crew, I believe, that parked bigger equipment not in a traditional way, there was still plenty of parking. The lobby is inviting and the young lady that checked me in was pleasant and efficient. The room is standard Fairfield Inn. I've stayed at F.I. that were smaller (Times Square) and some larger) Fort Lauderdale area, this was just right. I am disappointed that there aren't bars of soap for the shower, given one to wash hands/face at the sink. There are bigger bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, moving away from single serving (Fight Club) options, saving a bit of money, possibly time/energy. My room was clean, the air conditioner was a bit cold, and self-contained unit. These are typically louder then utilizing an air-handler that is away from the room. It's o.k., noise doesn't keep me up usually. I did have a bit of trouble finding an optimal temperature for me. I started at 68 F, then 74, I eventually settled at 71. The shower didn't get super hot, it was just right. I didn't notice any room noise from the neighbors. Breakfast was great. I think they alternate "bacon" days. I was there 5 days/4 nights, and had bacon every other day. Otherwise there was turkey or pork sausage. I don't eat eggs, I think there were a few egg offerings. There was some fruit, hardly any bananas, oatmeal with various toppings, yogurt, coffee, and I almost missed the orange and apple juice machine. Also offered was coffee, including decaf, tea and hot chocolate. The elevators were prompt and clean. There is a bar food type restaurant within a close walk, a Texas Roadhouse not far (I hate there twice) along with a T.G.I.F. McDonalds, a gas station with convenience items, and a few other options. Overall, it was a great trip. I didn't have a need to interact with the front desk other than check-in which is a plus for this introvert.

Very nice. Comfy bed, quiet and inviting lobby for early morning reading, and good breakfast options, even for my dietary restrictions. We had stayed here last fall, and, at that time, the coffee left a bit to be desired, but this time it was much better.
Unsympathetic and rude general manager

This Fairfield Inn has the most slippery bath tubs. Fell trying to get in and landed on my hand that I just had surgery on a month ago. When the general manager, Erin, was notified, I was told it was my fault I fell and they assume no liability. When asked if they had a room with a walk in shower, was told yes, but it was going to cost us more money. Erin, is the most unsympathetic and rudest general manager I have ever come across, and because of her I will never stay at this establishment. Home 2 Suites is just across the street.
