Terrible service and poor match between photo and actual room

The experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing. I chose a 4 star hotel with a photo of the room that looked quite nice. In fact, the room was extremely disappointing and required paying more (30€/night) to get a room for 2 where you can breath. Secondly, my wife and son stayed at this hotel, as I could not travel, and the desk clerk treated my wife, who is black, with disrespect and demanded payment in cash for the room upgrade immediately. The treatment only exacerbated the feeling of disappointment, and I would never recommend this hotel as a result!!!

The lunch is terrible. A salad (which is only some salad and beef - not even fresh) is charged 13 euro's. A burger which is a dry as the Sahara dessert is 15 euros. You have to be joking! The hotel itself; i dont know but please dont eat there.. it feels like a scam.
Fairytail-ish hotel...with tons of steps

Quaint tiny hotel. Old and worn in and showing its age. The staff made our stay. Manager went above and beyond. The hotel is in the square with the Cathedral. Lovely shops food and walking. We took a memorable wine tour in the alsace wine region.
Needs to step up

Staying here for 3 nights. Today at breakfast they served up rotten fruit which I pointed out to the waiter who seemed oblivious. Poor breakfast. Towels are disgraceful and so thin. Rooms are basic. Ideal location and they could do so much if they paid attention to what clients are saying. We leave on Thursday.
excellent hotel, great experience, we loved it..

stayed here for two nights recently and thoroughly enjoyed the visit. Yes the hotel is very central and next to the cathedral but hey that's why we booked it! So it wasn't a surprise to hear the bells nor the muffled sounds coming from the street below. We didn't find the noise an issue to be honest and it was great to be right in the centre of the Christmas marketplaces. the room was overlooking the cathedral (which is a stunning sight) and was very comfortable, warm and well appointed. The breakfast was excellent and offered a great choice of items to suit everyone's tastes we thought. We had nightcaps in the bar both evenings and enjoyed some nice whisky to warm us up again. The staff are very friendly and professional and all in all considered we liked this hotel very much and would go back one day.
