Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in.. weird mood when you enter. Some of the windows where moldy and our room smelled like curry, turned out the bad smell was coming from the bed. We didn’t feel comfortable staying there at all. The bathroom was like in a train and the water was coming out like a fountain. The worst thing were the bed buck bites the morning after!? And we didn’t even get a discount or an apology or anything like that. We are so disappointed and we wouldn’t recommend staying there.

Terrible avoid if possible

On checking in, this hotel tried to make us cancel our booking via Booking.com, offering us 20% off if we did. We didn't. On checking out they tried to charge us an extra 10% on top of our confirmed deal price with Booking.com. They also tried to charge for breakfasts that we hadn't had. The staff were very unhelpful. I had an email stating there was coffee/tea/kettle in the room. There was one sachet of coffee/milk/tea/sugar. This wasn't replenished despite me asking 3 different members of staff. The rooms are extremely small. The shower is tiny, I managed but some larger members of our party could not close the door as it opened into the shower, so unless you could squash into the back corner it was virtually impossible to open/close. So just one star as the bed was comfortable, although the pillows were old and lumpy. I would definitely not stay again despite its excellent location to the railway station.

Well placed hotel. Transport is easily accessible. The rooms were nice as well I was in a room of three and there was more than enough space for all of us. The bathroom was clean:) I forgot my towel and there were 4 towels in the room.

Budget hotel

I stayed for two nights in May when visiting Strasbourg. Decently priced and brilliant location - definitely the highlight of the hotel. Literally steps from the central station and just along from a Carrefour mini supermarket and McDonald’s (what more could one ask for?) it is well situated for both walking into the town centre, for tram rides or for travelling further afield by train. My room was comfortable, warm and clean. I did however notice the slightly poor condition of one of the walls in the room (see picture). Additionally, there was no soap provided, only the all in one shower gel and shampoo, even when I asked at reception if they had any hand soap 🤔 I also forgot my travel adaptor plug, so, hoping another British traveller might have left one behind, I asked at reception but they sadly didn’t have any to lend me. All in all though a good place to hang your hat for a short stay and an unbeatable location!

Victoria is located 5 mins from the train station and it’s easily reached from the airport. There’s a McDonalds 100 meters away if you need a morning coffee or a roll. Place is generally clean and the check in/checkout is effortless. There’s a lift you can use to get to the rooms. The toilet/bathroom is quite small and the shower cabin is tiny. You might struggle a little bit if you are over 6’2. The windows are not soundproof and I could hear people shouting outside. I can imagine it could be annoying during the weekends. The direct bus to the Council of Europe buildings is approx 5 mins from the hotel.
