More about the hotel
Absolutely awful
Needed to stop and did not plan so they charged $250 a night with no discounts. they had lots of rooms, they were the only hotel in the area with vacancies they said it was so expensive because it’s the last weekend of summer. Because of COVID the pool was not available, no breakfast but whatever I was going to sleep safely. Although none of the staff wore masks while all the signs said that masks were mandatory. The lobby smelled even through the mask. The room was probably nice 30 years ago but certainly not worth $250 maybe $50. Staff didn’t seem to care about helping people. I asked for queen bed and got two full size beds with cigarette burns in the blankets. Towels were dirty and I don’t know when it was last cleaned. The door lock did not fit snuggly and air conditioning worked like an old window unit. I would not recommend this to my worst enemy. I’m surprised the health department hasn’t condemned it as yet. To say it was disgusting is being kind.
Extremely Unprofessional and Very Rude Owner
The hotel owner is usually at the counter dealing with customer and is extremely rude and unprofessional. The staff was nice. The only way you should stay at this hotel is if they allow you to stay for free. The mattress was so worn out that it was impossible to get a good night sleep. The bathtub had many disgusting stains. The ice and vending machines were turned completely off. THIS PLACE IS TRULY A NIGHTMARE AND NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY. DON'T STAY AT THIS LOCATION.
Disgusting/old/nasty/mold- not worth it
Booked this hotel and upon arrival was disappointed. The hotel lobby is old and run down, see photo of disgusting couch. The hallway carpets needs replacing, the room is nasty, bugs on window sill, water stains on ceiling, duct tape on the bathroom door, and the list goes on. No elevator. The pool area roof was leaking from condensation and moldy, with extremely high scent of chorine. I checked out - lost my money and booked elsewhere. Do yourself a favor and book elsewhere and do not take your family here.
Old, nasty dated
This was one of the worse experience ever. This hotel is old dirty and dated. Myself and few others booked this hotel for the Saturday nite. We all Checked ourself out and lost our money. The pool area was from another planet. My room had ants and bugs. Water leak was all over the ceiling. The furniture in the lobby was old and rip. It’s was cover with carpet. The list goes on and on.
Cheap, but you get what you pay for.
Pros: Clean rooms, Inexpensive per night - go to the HOJO website for the cheapest rates Cons: Entire hotel is in need of general maintenance, room curtains were ripped, room smelled like smoke but it was a non-smoking room, wifi is a joke, breakfast was only 2 cereals and bread/bagels
