Great service exceeding expectations!
The room had everything I needed and more (microwave and refrigerator plus iron/board on request) but it was the exceptional service that blew me away! Working on East Coast time I was awake and 4 AM craving coffee, and upon merely asking what time the traditional free fresh coffee would be set up, the lovely Ajay GC (from Nepal) at the front desk volunteered to make a fresh pot just for me at that hour! Otherwise I would have had to wait two hours for the normal 6 AM start. He could not have been more pleasant. When I complimented him on his performance in his job, he responded that customer service was his #1 priority!! Yes I expect that at the luxury hotels I usually frequent, I dud not expect to hear that from a Motel 6 at 1/3 to 1/4 the nightly rate! Everything about my stay was ideal, and such a convenient location in the heart of Silicon Valley. Thanks to Suraj Gurung and Dikchhant Thapa (all from Nepal) also for their great service on other matters in the course of my time there. This Motel 6 now will be my go-to accommodation whenever I have business in the area in future. Thank you all there from an extremely satisfied guest!
Basic Motel. Good location.
If you are on a budget and need to place to crash, then you can opt for this one. Nothing fancy here. However there are some decent restaurants, a Lucky supermarket with walking distance. Right off 101 on Mathilda.
Bad Customer Service and Liars
1.0 star rating 2/9/2017 First review ever on any business. I will be contacting the Manager, District Manager and Corporate. Booked and received a confirmation in my email. Driving 7 hours, called to let them know we are running behind but still coming. Front desk person A.J. states that our reservation was cancelled due to credit card being declined, the room has been resold and they are sold out . This credit card has never been declined and we used it for gas during the long drive. We tell A.J. we are still coming because we have our emailed confirmation. A.J. calls us and tells us that Motel 6 (North Side) has a room and will honor the same rate. We arrive at the "North Side" and nope, $30.00 more. We go to the "South Side" and pay A.J. a visit. Now his story changes, our credit card was not declined after all. Now, somebody called and cancelled our reservation, because we were coming next week instead. This is impossible, due to the fact that I made the reservation and nobody knew what hotel I booked, nor does anybody have the login for the email I used to get the confirmation number. We ended up booking a different dump for $16.00 more. The sad thing is, we drove 7 hours and only needed a room for 3 hours.
Fine in a pinch for affordability...
I needed a place to sleep. this was close by to where I was going to be spending my days and the two restaurants nearby were great to have. The hotel room we stayed in was noisy in the evening...and the maid did not come two days in a row / but the management credited us an evening. for the price / it was was worth it.
Convenient
We stayed for three days, prices were slightly better than the Motel 6 across the street. We had a downstairs room (#101), room was clean with twin beds. All the staff that we encountered were very friendly and helpful. The TV channels were great, think it was Direct TV, WiFi was good, there is a nominal fee, $2.99 for 24 hours. My AARP rate gave me free WiFi, which was nice. Couple restaurants within walking distance. Morning coffee is available for guests.
