Fantastic first trip away since covid lockdowns

Just 10 minute walk into town. Fabulous views over the Estuary. Food was fantastic. People were so friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable . This 2 night trip has definitely put us in the mood for more trips away again. Covid rules adhered to, all of which made us feel safe.

Stayed here for two nights. The rooms are basic, but very comfortable. The restaurant served us two memorable evening meals, which we ate watching the sun set over the estuary. The staff are very friendly and we were made to feel very welcome. The hotel is a short walk from the old fishing village and a coastal cycle route passes the doorstep. Gentle cliff walks can be enjoyed if you just fancy a stroll. Wifi is available. A great place, highly recommended.

One might say of this hotel that it is a no frills place. For us there were frills but they came to us differently from those in some 'smarter' places where a sauna is perhaps meant to signify that you have chosen a superior establishment but where the staff are more important than you! How very refreshing to find old fashioned hospitality from experienced professionals like the patron and his team. Lots of smiles from everyone, lots of attention to the guests and lovely food. Yes......the rooms are basic and would benefit from a face lift but ours was spotlessly clean and quiet and had all we needed for our short stay. I would return happily.

Lovely overnight stay

We chose this hotel as Talmont seemed a nice place to break our journey from Saint-Malo down to the Aude area, and are very glad we did. The hotel has great views over to the main part of Talmont. Our room was comfortable and well-appointed. We ate in the restuarant, with a fantastic view of the sun setting over the estuary. The meal was superb - really good, quality home-cooked French cuisine. (The rum baba we had for dessert must have been soaked in litres of rum - memorable!) Breakfast was good too, with the breakfast room having views just as good as the restaurant. And bonus thanks to the manager for helping us with our broken French. If you are thinking of staying and eating here, we would say: book it now!

Lovely, just lovely

A hotel with a great restaurant. Clean rooms in the house next door, rather than upstairs, (there is no upstairs), but joined by a corridor to the restaurant. No wifi. Comfortable beds and adequate bathroom. The strength here is the position so close to the sea and the views from the restaurant windows. And of course the food. Wonderful. As you would expect , lots of seafood, but a few alternatives available. Restaurant busy all weekend with locals and residents.
