Good help and attention from front desk
Had a nice experience with front desk at this hotel, they helped me every time had to solve small issues such as missing plug coverter. They also gave me good tourist information on best beaches on Tampa area. Hotel provided a generous breakfast as well. Special tanks to front desk Nicole for her continous help;)
Getting ready to be a Holiday Inn
We checked into this hotel because it was not too far from the cruise port and was reasonably priced for the Tampa area. The hotel is dated and they are being updated to be a Holiday Inn Hotel Everyone at the reception desk was very helpful and friendly. Although they do not have transportation to the cruise port, the woman who checked us in suggested to get Uber. I never used them so she helped me out in getting an app on my phone and explained to us how they work. I believe her name was Nicole. Another big plus was that they let us park our care there while we were on the cruise. The breakfast was OK and the hotel was very clean although dated.
perfect stay for us and our 4 day quick vaca!! Super friendly and clean
Best hotel reps ever. Leon was so completely patient and kind setting up my reservations for our vacation. Xante checked us in and was just as welcoming and kind. Always spoke to us going in and out and everyone else that passed through the lobby. I love when people are unexpectedly helpful. The rooms are so cute and clean with more than enough fluffy pillows and towels. Water pressure was amazing !!! Breakfast was so nice hot and grab n go items available.
Went Down to Tampa for the Outback Bowl
We wanted a hotel that was close to the events planned, was dog friendly, reasonably priced, and easily accessable to restaurants etc. We were wonderfully surprised to have all our wishes fulfilled with excellence. Very easy to find and get to. We were only about 20 minutes (without using freeway from old Historical Tampa. What a great area and we had all kinds of choices. Again - we were about 25 minutes from Raymond James Stadium using surface streets (going back buy freeway slightly longer). The Raymond James Stadium was great! We spent two nights at the hotel - saw but did not have time to use nice pool area and work out room. We did enjoy the breakfast twice. It was very good for this price range and lovingly attended. I couldn't believe the fresh fruit - I usually strike out with this aspect - but not at the Brandon. We really liked the King bed and room. And the dogs had plenty of areas to sniff and use. The staff really loved them up with treats. So let me talk about the staff. From the beginning when I called make the reservation, I knew I was going to like these guys. I had asked for and early in - due to when our first event started. I was told they would do their best. On the road in, I called to double check if we could get in a little early. Nicole at the front desk told me our room was ready and we could come in any time. That was a relief because we like to be sure our dogs are settled before taking off. Nicole was helpful in many ways for us on her day shifts - we were able to interface over 3 days. And even the evening people made an effort for us a couple times. Even the GM, Lisa, was very helpful. We have stayed in the Tampa area over the last 7 years about 73 times with our dogs along. Wish we had known about the Brandon City Hotel sooner. We will be staying there again. Thanks, Sheila
Tired but fantastic staff
Ok, so this was a last minute booking as my Airbnb has cancelled. I booked through my IHG app. It was clear that this is a new property to IHG. We arrived at 1am and was greeted by a lovely lady. We were quickly checked in and given room 120. It was spacious, clean, old fashioned but it had everything you needed. Next morning I was woken up by the lift. This room is next to the lift shaft. I asked to be moved and they did oblige. Again same style room, clean etc. The staff work very hard here and are the best asset to this hotel. Always happy and nothing is ever too much trouble. Great service, breakfast is a little chaotic, it’s just not quick enough, same member of staff who should be on the desk. You need your own kitchen staff, would be so much quicker. The hotel does need renovating, it’s not your normal IHG experience but the staff could teach many other IHG colleagues on what good hospitality is. Great work guys
