BEWARE OF ADDITIONAL CHARGES!!!!

This have been a place for our family to go almost every winter. THIS YEAR however was our worse experience. We booked a 3 bedroom loft suite for the stay of 12 of us. And we arrived at 11:30am. checked in the front desk and gave bracelets to everyone. Parking was always free UNTIL THIS YEAR. THEY CHARGED $25 per car. We then proceed to go to the waterpark until the room is ready. We figured around by 4pm latest the room will be ready. We did not get access to our room until 6pm. They have offered a 20% off our stay and 1pm checkout. which was a great gesture and thats what I love about this place. However it wasnt until the next day we found instead of taking 20% off they charged me additional 20%. We had to turn around and go back to the front desk to dispute it in person. They have fixed the charges. 2 hours later they snuck in another $530 to my bill for "cleaning fee". Mind you we have put all the trash in the trash bag. And left the room in a reasonable condition. After 7 phone calls I finally get someone to explain the charge and their reason for the charge is because of the COOKING ODOR!!!! THERES A KITCHEN IN THE ROOM FOR A REASON! NO WHERE IN ANY AGREEMENT HAD THIS STATE THERE WILL BE A CLEANING FEE OF $500 FOR COOKING ODOR. Called the manager and they are sticking me with this charge!. PICK ANOTHER PLACE AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS FEE CHARGING PLACE.
Best Thanksgiving vacation ever

We typically visit Camelback thru the year, but this thanksgiving was amazing. Beside the snow tubing and waterpark we could enjoy amazing show whit live reptiles and hear so many interesting information. It was first opportunity for my daughters to pet a live alligator. Camelback team thanks for amazing show. You are becoming a favorite vacation spot for my family.
Everything But the Parking

The hotel is very nice, clean, and spacious. There's a ton of things to do for families with children of all ages. Our boys are 9 and 7 and almost everything was open to them. The lodging is reasonably priced (depending on the time of year) and comes with waterpark passes. The rooms are spacious. I've stayed at GWL, and the basic room designs are similar. Two queen beds and a sofabed, so you can squeeze 5 or 6 if necessary. The parking, though. Overpriced an unnecessary.
I went with low expectations and it still fell short...

We typically go to one of the pocono's water parks at least once or twice a year. They are typically a great 1-2 night getaway where the kids have a great time and it's not that bad for us too. I had read some recent reviews but I am on vacation so I typically just go with the flow. Unfortunately, the little things added up. We booked a bunk bed room and decided to go to camelback since it had been awhile. We arrived and the staff was very friendly and at no point during our trip was any staff rude. I was notified of a $25 parking fee. Found that strange but a lot of places charge a parking fee so I agreed and I now know. I was given a room on the other side of the lodge which was fine because I drove over there and figured it'd be quieter since it was like 10 minute walk away. The room: Upon walking in the room I found a toothbrush in my kids bunk beds, change on the floor and a wrapper. The beds were made up and everything so i threw that stuff out and tried to forget it. Upon showering there was no shampoo so I called downstairs. After 30 minutes I called down again and offered to come grab it myself and about 10 minutes later shampoo finally arrived. Other than that, the room was fine. The water park Having been to camelback I knew what were were looking at. They have a bunch of slides and a wave pool, lazy river, blah blah The lazy river was closed the 2nd day we were there. My kids mostly do their own thing but we hang out in the wave pool and lazy river together. Well not the lazy river the second day.... Was told it would open at noon but that didn't happen. The flow rider though was a lot of fun. My kids loved it although the line did get pretty long the 2nd day. We did hit up the swim up bar which is actually where I found out gratuity is included in everything you buy. Again, the staff was really nice and did let me know because I thought $40 for 2 drinks was a bit much but I did leave a tip and was then told it was $34 plus tax and gratuity. I oddly felt better about it? Trails end pub: Common theme is the staff happens to be great but transparency seems like a camelback thing. They had the bartender pretty much running the whole place. She was really nice and I assume she didn't cook the food but it wouldn't surprise me considering she waited and bussed a bunch of tables plus the bar. That would better explain the bad food. My kids wouldn't eat their chicken fingers and fries and my wife and I got a burger and pulled pork sandwich which was barely touched. We have eaten at Barley Creek brewery a few times (including lunch the next day) so i recommend people just popping over there. Graffiti pizza: Our meal was so bad at trails end we got pizza after dinner. 2 pies which were like $17 each (a little on the small side). They weren't terrible. I know we were pretty hungry but we didn't really want to take the kids out and sit down elsewhere. They played in the arcade and came and grabbed pizza. Probably your best bet in the resort in terms of food. I'm not gonna bother explaining the arcade or anything else because it's not cheap but it's the same everywhere. I've had hits and misses at the other waterparks as well and every staff member I encountered was very friendly which is sad because imagine if higher ups got their stuff together and ran this place smoother? If i'm going and spending over $500/night (Room, parking, food/drink, arcade, etc...) and your staff isn't your problem then you need to look towards the top and chances are they'll just ask what they can do not make any real changes. I know their skiing is so huge that this aspect is not a priority but if you are aware before you go then hopefully it won't be a big deal since your expectations will be low.

Apparently under new management and it’s horrible! There is 1 restaurant on site that is open that has 2 wait staff working. There is a $25 charge per night to SELF PARK! The self parking is at the back end of the parking lot! The front is reserved for the $40 per night valet parking. I understand they have to gauge you because you’re on vacation but $8 for a muffin is ridiculous! The buffet is $29.99 for Breakfast!!! I will NEVER come back to this place! I went to a manager and asked about the parking fee. I was told “We are coming back from Covid, people have families to feed” So that’s not included in the $300 a night to stay here! I have been here several times and had a great time! Hey NEW MANAGEMENT, you just lost a loyal customer!
