We enjoyed our stay at the Palacio de Marquesa and its walkability to the center of town while being tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. Bed was comfortable, room was clean, free cookies in the lobby were a nice perk, but the property/gardens can use a little more TLC at this price point.
An absolute Oasis after a long travel day!

The Host Ashley was great. We had multiple travel delays getting to Taos. Ashely offered to help with dinner reservations and also changing them due to the delays. Once we arrived we were greeted with fresh cookies and escorted to our room.
It was perfect, clean, stylish and the best part quiet!! Breakfast is included and even delivered to our room! Yes it was great as well.
We left for two nights in Santa Fe and let me say, we wish we had two more nights at Palacio de Marquesa!! We will be back!

We stayed here for three nights in the Modernist room, which was just beautiful. It was a lovely, quiet space, very clean and very welcoming, with an excellent bathroom, a charming fireplace, and a very comfortable bed. My husband is 6’9” and appreciated the high ceilings and doors and the spacious shower. Zachary, the on-site manager, was extraordinarily welcoming, kind and pleasant. The daily breakfast baskets were delicious- high quality food cooked to order, delivered hot with plenty of hot coffee. The courtyard is a beautiful, well tended garden with wonderful seating options and incredible blooms. I cannot wait to stay here again- it really made our first vacation since January of 2020 something special.
A Tired Facility

At these rates, one would expect better. First impressions were validated. The grounds needed weeding, ripped door screens should have been replaced, the (now down to bare wood) transom and other dinged wood needed paint. Waterspots and mildew in the shower confirmed a perfunctory attention to cleaning. That and the overpowering aroma of left-over wood smoke in the room was also not appealing. High point was the well-done breakfast basket, but that alone doesn’t justify a return or a recommendation.

We stayed in four different places on this trip to New Mexico, and this was by far our favorite. It's so elegant, private, and comfortable. The space reminds me of an estate in Montecito, CA. I kept checking the price again thinking it should be $400/night & I somehow misread it. The delicious breakfast basket was a lovely added bonus.
