We were not aware of the late check in procedures but thankfully the staff (Dana) reached out and sorted it out for us, otherwise we might have been locked out! The hotel,building and room looks clean and new. Although it's located right above Taringa train station, we did not hear any sounds from the trains at all during our stay. Covered parking is available for a fee or there is usually street parking. If you are checking in, there is a loading zone next to the hotel. As the hotel is on a steep slope, might be worthwhile parking as near you can to unload. Although there is no housekeeping services for short stays, the front desk are helpful with any requests always. Overall, a great affordable find for a new-ish hotel and minutes away from the CBD, UQ and westfield indooroopilly.

Stayed for 2 nights and very happy. Only complaint is heavy doors and double doors. I almost locked myself out opening the outside door but luckily remembered my key card. Heavy doors hard to push open with luggage. Staff very helpful when I was wanted more milk and also when I wanted to check out early on Sunday. I would stay again. I found room quiet though close to road and railway.

I have stayed at Essence Taringa a few times between 2019 and now and the service has been exceptional every single time. The rooms are always clean, provides free wiFi, affordable secure parking considering the venue is only 5 minute drive from Brisbane city. I have also used there conference facilities which are great for smaller events. The rooms are bright, with views all around.

This is the best quality accommodation available in the Western suburbs. Only a couple of years old and everything still looks spotless. Comfortable and spacious room with modern bathroom, a good view and good sound-proofing. Air-con doesn't get very cold - it's ok with August temperatures but it may struggle in summer! Pillows were a bit flat - would have liked more of a choice rather than all of them the same. Very friendly reception staff. It's above a private hospital and health centre but this doesn't detract at all from the hotel side of things. No facilities as such (no pool, gym, etc) but there is a good on-site cafe and a few restaurants nearby for eat-in or takeaway - there is a microwave with cutlery supplied in the room which is useful. Groupon deal was fantastic value!

Very nice laid out hotel on the outskirts of Brisbane. Train station next to the hotel that you couldnt hear. Room was cosy and had great views of the city and hills. Bed was perfect with good average size pillows. Aircon was good without being too cold and you could make adjustments. Bridie at reception gives out 5 star customer service even if she is a maroons supporter. Great to be met with knowledge and a smile.
