Great Pubs still exist!

The Carlsberg tastes exactly like it should, best tasting pint I can find. I'm told by my family / friends all the other beer tastes fantastic too. I haven't got past the Carlsberg yet. I went for the mixed grill from the specials' board, it was fantastic. I am still thinking about this mixed grill 1 week later, hence the review. I'm also going back for another one this afternoon ;) I am looking forward to one day trying other items in this pub.......once I have had my fill of mixed grills and Carlsberg, this could take some time though :D Staff are friendly and cheerful. 10/10 love this pub.

Think the chef used to work in a crematorium

A party of us went here for a birthday meal. Myself and 2 others in our party ordered pie of the day ,which was steak and ale with a suet crust. It really should have said soot crust. It was almost black. As a chef myself I wouldn’t have dreamt of sending that out to a customer. We’ve been here previously and enjoyed the food so I don’t understand how this awful food was allowed out of the kitchen. Maybe a change in the kitchen is needed to up the standard of food. As it stands the main meal was awful. That said the cheesecake was pretty good. Can’t say that we’ll be going back anytime soon though.

Gem of a pub

Fantastic family run local pub! We were staying at Kibbear Farm and stumbled across this gem. Fantastic traditional home cooked food, great value for money and staff super friendly. Dogs welcome in the bar area and some lovely dog friendly walks surrounding the area. Would highly recommend!

Booked for a Sunday roast 14 of us, got there a bit early table was already waiting for us. Had a drink and a chat with the owner and staff, great bit of banter going on. Ordered the meal, it arrived piping hot and plenty of it. Can honest say one of the best roasts I've ever had. To top it of there is a great selection of desert's. Great pub, good selection of ales and friendly staff. Thanks from some happy Taffs

Delicious for a Sunday Roast

Delicious Roast dinner here with friends today. Plenty of meat, gravy, lovely veg and roast tats. Desserts were lovely. Good selection of beers and ciders and a really friendly atmosphere. Staff were great. Highly recommend. Dog friendly in the bar area too.
