This charming family-friendly hotel is located in Taxco. The establishment is a 15-minute walk from the centre of town and nearby sights include Santa Prisca church (10 minutes away by public transport) and Cuernavaca (an hour away by car). Where do you find a hotel in Taxco with an own balcony? Where you can look at the hills when in the shower. Nice swimming pool and easy access to the city. Ok you need to walk/take a taxi to find a restaurant in the evening but if you like hamburgers there is a good place to the right. We are biking from North to South America and were happy to only have to walk in the city centre. Would not like to drive a car there. The hotel has a secured parking area.

I have to say sadly that Loma Linda has depreciated badly since I have stayed there last. The beautiful domed ceilings were covered in black plastic, the towels were very thin, sheets were patched and the hot water took ages to work. Potentially it could be beautiful again, but for now all I can say is that is clean.

I want back soon because the people make me feel comfortable and my family was very happy, food is not the best but is good. If you go to Taxco you can found more activities near. On the other side, you can buy a lot of silver very chip, I recommend visit the market "Tianguis " because in the downtown is more expensive.

Amazing view to the mountains and the main church, the rooms have a balcony where you can enjoy the view reading, having a dinner or something, it is quiet. It has safe parking lot, which is something difficult to find in Taxco.
Location, location, location--plus an incredible view

We visited 5 cities in Mexico. Taxco was our first, and Loma Linda was our first hotel, so it became the standard by which we evaluated all the rest. Our room had a small balcony where we sat every morning and watched the sun rise over the tree covered mountains and the creek/river rushing at their base. From the same balcony, we saw a flowering Mexican tulip tree and countless white houses stacked against the hillside. Nearly all of my photos were panoramic to capture it all. The staff were wonderful. The location was central; taxis and cambies were easy to get and took us to markets and restaurants for 20 pesos a trip (not per person), although we were close enough to walk to the zocalo. The room was fine. Linens were changed every day! We'll never stay anywhere else.
