Stayed here recently on a quick business trip. Property looks like it used to be great back in the 60's and 70's, but now needs to be updated. Restaurant has good food, but for non-Spanish speakers, it's really hard to order since the entire menu is in Spanish. Rooms are tidy and small. Just like the rest of the property, they need to be updated. Fitness Center is really just a closet with equipment that is either broken or so close together that it can't be used. Wifi kept going in and out.
Don't waste your time or money!

Day 1 - I walk with a severe limp but they put me in the farthest room from the front desk. Safe in room did not work. Billed me for a double even though it was just me. Day 2- Still no working safe. Had to carry everything off value with me for a full day of shopping and sight seeing. They reset my room key at 5 pm so I couldn't get into my room when I tried. Limped back to the front desk and got it reset. Limped back to room. Day 3 - No safe still. Another day of carrying all my valuables with me. Room key reset again. No bed spreads on the beds. They forgot to do laundry! Close to 90 degrees every day and the pool felt like it had an ice berg in it. No coffee pot in the rooms. Room service won't answer the phone until almost 8 even though it's supposed to be available from 7 am to 11 pm. They automatically reset the key cards every day unless you specifically tell them not to. No iron in room or available to borrow. Visiting family members working in the town but I will NEVER stay here again!
Very relaxing and pleasant stay

I really enjoyed my stay here (I was in the area for work). The property is beautiful with a nice pool and grounds. My room had a big balcony to relax on and though it is located on a busy street, it was recessed enough from the main road and was quiet. The on-site restaurant was good and I enjoyed my hotcakes in the morning and the dinners at night. Very reasonably priced. A nice oasis after a busy day at work. My only (minor) complaints were that I found that beds to be a little too firm for my liking and the TV had over 100 channels but none in English. I know it's smack in the middle of Mexico and Spanish IS the official language, but it would have been nice to at least have CNN in English or something. I'd probably stay again since it was so relaxing there.

The hotel was good for the price, only spend one night. The restaurant food was good and relatively cheap, there was 6 of us eating breakfast and the total came out to around $25 including the tip. The pool did seem a little old.
Very good value and pleasant hotel

The hotel is a peaceful and beautiful oasis in this busy town, where you can rest and relax at very affordable prices. In addition to a most agreeable setting, the rooms are very comfortable and clean with French windows opening up onto quiet green lawns. The pool and dining areas are good and the staff most friendly and attentive. In spite of the occasional large meetings or celebrations (wedding, business convention or birthday party), which took place during our time with apparently effortless ease and minimal fuss, the hotel always felt tranquil and quiet. We spent several days here recharging our batteries, reading books and generally enjoying the peaceful ambiance - and all at exceptional prices (approximately 50% of what one might expect to pay in Europe for something equivalent).
