Wonderful Boutique Hotel

Great staff, Blass made sure our stay was great. The property is wonderful from the large comfortable rooms and the pool and the hot tub was a big plus. Our complimentary breakfast was delicious and the setting on the balcony was beautiful. I highly recommend this fine facility.
First visit to Mexico

I chose this hotel as other reviews said it was centrally located. Sure was! The hotel says it's a spa, but not really. It did remind me of the riads in Morocco. I was able to book a massage from an off site masseuse who was really good. (Thanks Betsy). My room was comfortable but sun deprived. Felt like being in London. The staff (Jose, Oscar, BLAS, Rosa) were spectacular! They gave excellent recommendations, spoke English but allowed me practicar mi espanol, and helped with my nightly peppermint tea without complaint and with pleantries. The cooks who provide a wonderful included breakfast daily (can't believe I didn't ask for their names) make delicious eggs any style, delicious spot hitting coffee, and other traditional mexican breakfast dishes from a variety of choices on their Spanish/English menu. Muy bueno comida! The area is great for solos or couples who like to stroll through art inspired shops, catch live mariachi music, grab a city tour bus (double deckers) to hear and hop off to see historic buildings, eat great street food, or visit decent restaurants. Was able to catch Enart, annual art expo. There is a tourist company that takes you to lake Chapala and to a tequila factory. People get to know the history and taste the stuff. Great stay with lots to do in the area.
Sold my Reservation to someone else, arrived sick with no room that I'd prepaid for

In all my years of traveling all over the world I've never experienced a hotel so unethical. I got sick in Puerto Vallarta and arrived the next day excited to fall into bed to the room I'd prepaid. When I arrived I found that the hotel sold my room to someone else, kept my money and took the other peoples money as well. So I had no where to stay and they made double the money, and refused to give me my money back so I could find a room elsewhere. I'd also recommended the hotel to some friends I was meeting there. They said the room was so loud at night due to it's location on the road they had to stuff towels under the door to try to sleep at night. I'm so bummed as I the hotel looked so cute online.
Glad it has 24 hour reception

My Volaris flight arrived very late so it must have been about 0130 after I took the very expensive taxi ride from the airport. The front desk did not complain when I came in this late..I was escorted to my big Mexican room, I immediately loved the old looking rustic furniture..Woke up to a very fresh breakfast..Seemed I was the only Mexican guest there at this time..Blas offered to take care of my luggage after checkout time and I was able to do some touristy stuff, like buy some barro, drink a green juice at the Mercado, walk to some museums..Tlaquepaque still seems like a small town even with al the tourists there..After I was ready to leave, Blas kind enough to call an uber for me..will defintely stay again on my next vist
Very friendly place

The staff was friendly and very attentive to our needs. The breakfasts were cooked to order and very tasty. Rooms were clean, with some road noise. Both the downstairs courtyard and upstairs balcony are pleasant spots to chill out.
