There’s probably not much reason to be in this area unless you are on business. It’s opposite the university (ITESO) which I suspect is a large part of the clientele. It’s nothing flash, a clean, efficient and somewhat sole-less hotel. Rather odd if you upgrade to a premier/business type room with ‘lounge’ it feels as though they have forgotten to finish them off or run out of ideas on how to furnish - for the extra $ would not bother! Breakfast is varied and self serve - but just what you need to start the day. Plenty of other bars/ restaurants within 1 min walk. Overall fitted my needs - would stay here again if in the area. Friendly helpful staff with good English!

Holiday Inn Express is very nice, clean only downfall is the shuttle to airport. More local restaurants are nearby that is a plus. Breakfast is very good, dining area is clean a bit crowded looks like from outsiders buying breakfast which is a great plus, but I think hotel guest should have priority at breakfast time.
Good stay helpful staff

Stayed in Rm 109 from Tuesday Aug 07-11th as my son was starting in the nearby ITESO University and I wanted to check out it and settle him into his student living quarters also. Hotel very clean, nice Queen size room so my son could stay the odd night if he wished, quiet, great signal from Wifi, really really good Breakfast. Lots of options, replenished all the time ( unlike other free buffet hotels on offer in the USA ), helpful front desk and housekeeping staff. Very well situated beside many eateries and a Gym. I have no complaints whatsoever and highly recommend this location. Uber is cheap in Guadalajara and you can pay cash in pesos if you choose.

They charged us wrong and then acted like it was our fault to not know the prices by heart. We were there only for one night and we would hit the road the day after, so we had a lot of luggage and there are no stairs nor elevator from the parking lot to the lobby. We had to carry them at almost midnight with no help. There is no help to take them to the elevator and of course not your room. As they not so politely explained, as an express hotel, they don´t have bellboy service, but don´t you have any sort of customer service, or kindness?? Can´t help someone with lots of luggage? I have been in many other express hotels and this was a first. Of course I complained and the manager had a terrible actitude, had an annoyed face the whole time. Simply terrible.
