This hotel is in a business district that is very quiet at the weekends, man restaurants in the area do not open, however it is near the Metro. Rooms are very small, as is common in Japan but this one was made worse by having an extra large chair taking a lot of space. "Free" breakfast is poor, dry bread and coffee, nothing hot but is better than nothing. Staff were excellent and can not be faulted.
excellent value for money
Great stay - would recommend and stay again!! Staff - limited English but very helpful and made every effort to make us feel welcome. Check in was easy and quick. The staff were very accommodating and informative (via email) even before arrival as we were delayed by a few days due to typhoon Hagibis. Price - excellent for Japan in general and even better considering the location and the fact we had our own bathroom and breakfast. Room - pleasantly surprised by the room - slightly larger than I was expecting - you have everything you need from a tv, to a kettle, toiletries, chairs, a table and air conditioning. Location - less than a 10 minute walk from the subway station which has links to the whole city as well as a cheap direct expressway to both the airports. There are a few convenience stores such as 7/11 nearby so very handy for any bits and bobs you may need. The area itself felt very safe and easy to get around. Downsides - noise water system - when either the shower or toilet is being used, the water is quite loud - does not sound like a massive issue, but when neighbours decide to have a shower early hours in the morning it can be frustrating and keep you awake - this only happened on a few occasions and would not stop us staying again, but just something to bear in mind.
Excellent if it wasn’t for the air conditioning.
We stayed here 5 days and we are very happy about this hotel. Location is convenient to subway trains and close to Narita bus terminal. The room was very clean and well appointed. Staff was very friendly, helpful and some were fluent in English. There is a complementary light breakfast. The only problem was the air conditioner which switched itself off several times during the night which was not great in a hot humid hotel room, and required staff to re-set it as all instructions were in Japanese.
Small but the very nice staff and cleanliness compensate
It is small rooms, however were very clean and with details that compensate your stay are nice, such as mobile charger (multiple connector) and the nice staff. Maybe a little more options on the small breakfast can make the stay excellent.
Excellent deal! Great location, sweet neighborhood, generous breakfast!
This is by far the best hotel we tried in Japan. Some 3-star hotels nowadays don't change the bed or provide towels every day, but the service here was exquisite and impeccable. Friendly and readily available staff. Nihonbashi is a lovely neighborhood, much quieter than the bustle of Shinjuku or Shibuya, with an authentic feel of everyday life in Tokyo. It has plenty of excellent restaurants in a 5-min walking distance, and easy access to two metro stations (Kayabacho with 2 lines, and Suitengmae with 1). The self-service breakfast is simple but generous: 3 different types of bread, 2 types of pastries, potato salad, 2 options for powdered soup, cereal, margarine and jam, vegetable juice, orange juice, tea and coffee. All unlimited - allows to have a variety of breakfasts during your stay! For the price, it is absolutely superb.
