Escape to the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail
We escaped to the country last weekend with a group of friends and explored the towns of Esk and Toogoolawah in the Brisbane Valley where the locals were very welcoming. Visited the Esk Markets, The Somerset Regional Art Gallery - The Condensery (Free Entry) and enjoyed kicking back and relaxing in the country ambience in some great cafes and pubs like The Exchange Hotel in Toogoolawah. The meals were large and the pizzas had loads of toppings - great value! Next time we'll take the bikes and ride a section of the Rail Trail!

best dam food I've ever had, Di and Annita serve an awesome meal , staff are very curtious and eager to please,bar staff are more than happy to help, very friendly and inviting atmosphere, I rate them 10 out of 5, bloody awesome all round, I will deffinately be back
Great stop when you riding the BVRT
Great priced accommodation when your riding the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail. Great stop to get an early start or if your riding end to end. Big rooms, comfy beds, great value meals from the Bistro and room for bikes. Will be back!
Great country pub!
We cycled the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail and stayed at the Exchange. Got a room with an ensuite, great meal and fun night in the public bar! Highly recommended if you enjoy a bit of atmosphere. And why do I need a 200 word minimum?
Very pleasant hotel
We stayed one night during a short road trip. We had booked the hotel on line which was very easy. Our room was a double room with ensuite and it was very roomy. There was a big TV, couch, microwave and refrigerator and air conditioning which was very welcome. The bed was extremely comfortable and we had the best night's sleep. We had access to the kitchen for tea or coffee and I noticed there was cereal, bread and milk which we could have used for breakfast. We ate dinner in the restaurant which was good pub food. I would stay at the Exchange again if visiting Toogoolawah.
