I was here for 4 nights and was happy with cleanliness, the staff were very friendly and helpful and I loved my balcony overlooking the pool, garden area. The breakfast was buffet style served by one of the staff and included eggs, potatoes, meat, juice and yogurt. I didn't like the constant party like music from before 9a.m. that went on most of the day in the pool garden area and it kept me from spending time in the sunny garden.

Looks can be deceiving when we first pulled up to the hotel. It looks to be older BUT when you enter their lobby - it’s quite lovely inside. It’s very clean and modern. It’s quite impressive. We were greeted by the sweetest girl, ALYSSA , at the front desk. She was great. Very kind, courteous and accommodating. Such a pleasure to speak with. And finally, the room we are staying in is exceptionally clean. Looks like it was recently renovated/remodeled so the furniture and fixtures and most importantly the bathroom looks modern and very clean. Nothing to complain about honestly. It was a great overnight stay. I will always keep this hotel on my list next time we stop in Tucson.

Traveling with friends on a trip cross country. Stayed at Hotel Tucson and had a wonderful time. Kaitlyn at the front desk was the best. Very helpful . I would definitely recommend this hotel. Patty N.
Tastefully renovated hotel with beautiful courtyard and friendly staff.

This hotel saves the best aspects of its old-fashioned charm with clean, renovated facilities. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. We enjoyed walking in the early morning and evenings in the huge courtyard, which has tall palm trees, a grove of orange trees, a large pool, a gazebo, and a great view of the downtown office buildings in the background. The breakfast included hot scrambled eggs, fresh watermelon and grapes, wheat toast, and some meats. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The gentleman who served us was so kind, and has worked there over 30 years, I think. The lobby has a baby grand piano. I am a pianist, and the front desk staff, including Ashley and others whose name I did not get, was gracious to let me play the piano some for my family at breakfast each morning. The hotel is very close to the Tucson Museum of Art, as well, as the historic downtown area and Interstate 19. The price was reasonable, too.
OK, but there are so many choices in Tucson that we won't choose this hotel again.

Liked · The staff was friendly, the room was basic but with some stylish touches, clean, and refrigerator worked well. It was great to have usb ports next to the bed on both sides, which was so much better than some places where you have to charge your phone at a desk (or on the floor). Breakfast was hot and fresh - a good value for $5 - and the server there was very professional and polite. They had placed hand sanitizer throughout the hotel which was convenient. The huge pool was welcome refreshment for a hot day and the hotel service included pool towels, but the jacuzzi was not clean and looked like it hadn't been opened for some time. Disliked · Although the individual that checked us in was nice, he gave us an awful room at first (first floor right across from the parking lot and highway that was extremely loud and hot). When we asked to change to the room with a balcony and pool view indicated when we booked, he gave us a second floor room but with a giant orange tree right off the balcony which made the room very dark and obscured any view of anything. We did not ask for a third change but wondered if it was because we used booking.com instead of booking directly. Not a good first impression. The room was clean but the linens were very worn. The carpeting was a hideous abstract pattern, probably to hide any staining. The bathroom layout was unusual for a hotel with the sink area, toilet, and tub all crammed into one room making it difficult for more than one person to get ready at a time. The only ice machine was on the first floor, maybe due to covid, but it was a hassle as only one of the two elevators for four floors was operational. The hotel did not give us information that the on-site restaurant and bar were closed due to covid, and it was one of the reasons we booked there.
