Outstanding hotel and staff - We will be back

It starts with the receptionist Laviza (spelling?) welcoming us with a smile and excitement to see us. We received a king room with jetted tub (hubby loved it). The room was very clean, with new furniture spacious room and chaise lounger to start. Amenities couldn't be better. Keurig coffee pod maker, soft bedding and mattress. Beautiful window shades. Continental breakfast featured name brand items like Jimmy Dean sausage, egg, cheese biscuit, Chobani yogurt, orange juice, coffee, and lots of tables and chairs..yes, impressive. Hotel is next to Woodland Hill Mall, the Cheesecake Factory (yum-o) Price was lower for this hotel than area hotels. You will NOT be dissapointed. Swimming pool for kids and family awesome!!

It was in a good location and the rooms are very nice. It was super convenient having a fridge and a microwave. It’s right next to the Woodland Hills mall, and there are plenty of places to choose from to eat nearby. Everything was nice and clean. The beds are very comfortable.
Guaranteed Room Type is NOT Guaranteed!

Using the IHG website and as a IHG Gold Elite Rewards member, I reserved two accessible rooms, each with two beds. When I arrived, I learned that we had one accessible room with one bed, and one non-accessible room with two beds. When I told the desk clerk that my reservation confirmation indicated that my requested room type was guaranteed, she told me that such errors sometimes happen when I reserve through a "third party." I reassured her that I always use the IHG website and never use a third party for my reservations. She said I should have called a day in advance to make sure I would have the room types that I requested. Clearly, she considered it my fault that they did not provide the accessible rooms that we needed. Although she remained polite and friendly, she made no effort to see if she could switch our rooms to accommodate our needs. Luckily, my husband is able to manage in a non-accessible room with some assistance, and for the rest of our party we made the accessible room with one bed work for the one night that we were there. On a brighter note, we did find the hotel clean and quiet, and the breakfast was the standard Holiday Inn Express fare with the cinnamon rolls that we love.
