La Zebra, better than ever!
Reviewed 18 march, 2023
I got married at La Zebra in 2014 (it was a dream!) and went back again for the first time this year, with a group of girlfriends. It's even better than it was then! (if this is even possible.) The best thing about the hotel, IS THE STAFF. They are amazing. Marco and Abraham especially, but really, ALL THE STAFF. In fact, I lost a purse and emailed them about it four days later. They found it and are in the process of shipping it to me. They always go above and beyond. In addition, the rooms have been upgraded, they all have AC. Our room was massive (fit three adult women in three separate beds--also amazing mattresses). Food was phenomenal: healthy, delicious, varied. Drinks were amazing (the sugarcane mojitos are a great pick.) We had breakfast and lunch at the hotel every day, and went out for dinner in Tulum (would recommend Hartwood and Posada Margarita for dinner, in addition to La Zebra's restaurant.) Great spot. Cannot beat. Will def stay there next time we go.

La Zebra: exquisite accommodations with casual vibe
Reviewed 18 march, 2023
This place blends top-notch accommodations with a casual beachfront vibe. This is my second time staying here in nearly a decade and the upgrades are exquisite. Staff are friendly, especially Abraham, and super tolerant of guests with modest español. One night we were treated to a lightning storm. Alas, the next day brought out sand fleas.

Amazing property with excellent service.

Amazing experience, the property was beautiful but the highlight was the staff and service which were outstanding. We had a beautiful view from the room directly on the ocean. The food was also great and for an interesting experience I recommend trying the chef’s tasting table.

Great boutique hotel in Tulum

The attention to detail is remarkable. In addition, concierge and staff are very helpful and kind. My friend and I had to extend our trip an extra day because it felt too short. We’re definitely coming back.

Nice (expensive) family hotel
Reviewed 17 march, 2023
We stayed at La Zebra for 4 nights with our 18 months old son in a ground floor room. The hotel is very nice, relaxed and great for young kids as it has s small playground where all the kids gather all day long (which allows the parents to relax on the sunbeds 😆). The staff was extremly friendly! What we didn‘t like that much was the food…it wasn‘t very tasty while quite expensive. However, there are plenty of great food options outside (not cheap either). Finally there was really a lot of seaweed every day! Although the hotel is keen on removing it on a daily basis they have no chance! So when we were there it wasn‘t nice to swim, walk along the beach or let the little one play, which was of course the reason for us to come to Tulum. But nothing the hotel can do about.
