The Hotel Capstone is a Conveniently located, super clean and friendly hotel. I stayed here with my son for Bama Bound and had zero complaints! Clean rooms and super pleasant staff!. Convenient parking and super close to campus. I would stay here again any time. Queen room is spacious and the beds are comfortable and have lots of comfortable pillows.
Bugs, underwear and food

We REALLY wanted to enjoy this stay as were huge Bama fans….but that just wasn’t possible. At check in, we notified there had been a maintenance issue with our original booking, but we were being upgraded to a suite (bonus!). However, our excitement quickly took a turn when checking out our “upgraded” room. The bedside lamp wasn’t functional so I moved the side table to see if it was plugged in; it wasn’t, but more surprising was the pair of black lace underwear lying under the bed. Not impressed, but moving on. The room was quite spacious and the kitchenette appeared to be well stocked. A nice local magazine was on another end table (nice gesture), BUT when I picked up said magazine, a bug ran from underneath it and under the lamp. NOPE. We immediately removed our possessions from the room and back to front desk. The staff and manager that were present were empathetic and immediately relocated us to another room. The manager even compensated us for the night, which was very generous. The next room, while no bugs were present, was also substandard in regards to cleanliness. Leftover food was under both mattresses. The outdoor pool was very nice and even had towels onsite. We didn’t visit the restaurant. All told, for a seemingly “high end” hotel, the cleanliness alone will keep us from returning.
Great hotel. Great location.

If you are visiting The University of Alabama, this is the place to stay. The parking lot is large and the location is right on campus near the Stadium. The common areas are very luxurious and the pool area is very nice. The hotel restaurant is delicious and offers room service until 9:00 p.m. The front desk is very accommodating to all your needs - especially Cole. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a comfortable room and everything extra we requested. Definitely “Southern Hospitality” - A+ customer service! Housekeeping and the maintenance staff in charge of air conditioning are also amazing! If you are staying in the Tuscaloosa area, I highly recommend staying at this hotel. We can’t wait to return.

I stayed here for 4 nights for a conference at the Bryant Center. It was so convenient. The room was very clean and, even though the building is old, everything felt new and clean. My regular room had a mini-fridge, which was a nice surprise. My room was near the ice machine, so I heard that all the time, and a couple of times people were loud in the hallways, but that is not the fault of the hotel. The staff was very friendly. I had pizza and drinks in the lounge one night, and the service was great, and the pizza was delicious. I would definitely stay here again.
