One Day Stay at Home2 Suites

Just needed one night in Orlando so my kids could see a show. Exactly what we needed, there were four of us and we could spread out. The hotel was convenient to breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. The staff was friendly. Will stay here again.
Nice Room and Accommodations

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. It was my first time trying the Home2 Suites brand and I definitely will be back. The hotel is very convent to UCF which was great as I was there for a football game. The room was spacious and clean. I also love that I was able to bring my dog for the stay. I

Great accommodations and friendly staff. Room was huge and could accommodate more people than we had in our group. Breakfast was not the greatest but the muffins were yummy. Coffee equally great. Front desk staff very professional.
Numerous issues, stay somewhere else!

Had high hopes for this hotel based on other reviews. I usually stay at Homewood Suites but since this was new to Hilton family and based on reviews, decided to try this hotel. Ended up with 2 room changes in 2 days of my 3 night stay! Upon check-in, the first room I was given had a hot refrigerator due to the door being left open and a bathroom that had not been properly cleaned (dried toothpaste dribbled down the entire front of the vanity). Was upgraded for the inconvenience to a 1 bedroom suite instead of a studio. Had to call down again to get the plugs opened up so I could plug in my laptop to do some work. For some reason, they are all blocked with strong plastic. Went to bed and was out early the next morning. Bathroom shower appeared clean but mildew smell was overwhelming. Was going to ignore that until I came back late night and was relaxing on the couch watching TV when I started feeling very itchy. Looked down and my slippers, feet ankles and legs were covered in fleas. Hotel is pet friendly but their cleaning and inspection protocols are lacking. It was 11:30pm and the last thing I felt like doing was changing rooms. Of course, I had no choice. I was there for my daughter’s wedding and arrived a week early to do wedding preparations. I had tons of stuff as well as formal dresses. Nighttime desk person was great and helped me move all my stuff. I asked him to inspect the room I was going to for fleas and he did. I also had to be super careful to inspect everything to ensure I didn’t bring them to the new room. He assured me the manager would call me in the morning to discuss some type of compensation. I hardly slept that night feeling gross and completely bitten up. After getting re-settled, I ended up showering at 2am and was basically up all night over this experience. No manager contacted me. In fact, the only person who even apologized was the night front desk agent who moved me to a different room. He too was horrified when he saw the fleas jumping on the floor as I was trying to brush them off me. I ended up having to throw away my cloth slippers that were very sentimental to me having gotten them from a special trip to San Francisco a few years back. When I left the hotel the next morning, I went to the desk asking to speak to the manager. The front desk person said he was the supervisor. He said he had heard there was an issue and would contact me after speaking to the assistant GM. The front desk supervisor later called offering to refund me the 25K Hilton Honors points I used toward my 3 night stay or to refund me for one night of the stay plus 8200 HH points. I opted for the one night credit plus points but requested 10K HH points, which was given. There was no issue with the final room other than the blocked plug issue. In fact, neither the desk lamp nor the floor lamp were plugged in. I requested that be fixed while I was out and when I came back, only the desk lamp and floor lamp were plugged in but no other plugs were open. Even when I tried unplugging the desk lamp, I couldn’t plug anything in the outlet. Another call to fix this. I was told 2 different stories on the plugs, one being the hotel was new (1 year old) and they hadn’t opened them up and the second being that they were child safe, but no one could explain how to open them for use. The engineer finally just replaced the desk outlet so I could plug in my laptop to work. Its really a shame about this hotel. Other than the plug issue, the last room was ok. But I really can’t consider staying there again considering the lack of stringent cleanliness and inspections after animals stay. It should also be noted that despite the fact that the Hilton website still mentions the Covid cleanliness protocols particularly around the Tv remotes, they were not consistently cleaned and sealed nor were wipes consistently next to the remote. I was told that Hilton told the hotel they did not have to abide by that anymore. I would think the website would be updated if that was the case. I still have flea bites that are healing from this issue. Luckily my mother of the bride dress was long so my legs were not out. I also have some bites on my arms from trying to get them off my legs! I will definitely avoid staying at pet friendly hotels in the future.
Newer and clean

We like that it is a newer hotel with clean lobby and rooms. The staff could be more friendly and professional but it is a good value. The location near UCF is perfect for us with a family of 3. The room is bigger with a nice kitchenette that comes with kitchen amenities.
