Everyone in this hostel was very helpful and kind to us. I am vegetarian and lots of options were provided for me, including: vegan ham, burgers, falafel, veggies, rice, pasta, rice milk. Breakfasts are homemade with salty and sweet options. The hostel has very "home" atmosphere wich is also very nice.
Good atmosphere. Helpful staff

Fantastisch Good atmosphere. Helpful staff. In the middle of the centre, really great location. Would definitely recommend this place.I stayed at this hostel for 2 nights. From the moment I came in i felt so welcome. They do everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The staff is truly the most sweetest people I ever met. I would recommend everybody to stay here. Breakfast is great!
This hostel was great - Other reviews are way too harsh!!

The hostel was a bit hard to find. Luckily we did find this hidden gem in the end and we had a great time. The common room has a very nice vibe and the staff was very friendly. If you want some tomatoes, this is the place to go. Also a lot of books and boardgames. Beds and sleeping arrangements were fine. The best surprise was the next morning though. The hostel lady Sandra made an AMAZING breakfast... there was choice between fresh bread right out of the oven. eggs, sausages, cheeses, spreads, jams, TOMATOES, pancakes, cereal, oatmeal. Or just have it all! Sandra wanted us to eat eat eat... no breakfast limit! And served until 2pm!!! Also she made us take away some food for lunch as well. You have be a bit of an experienced traveller to appreciate what this hostel has to offer. There's no denying that there's some mess (see other reviews) BUT overall for the price I found this to be one of the best and most fair hostels in the Netherlands! Only real complaint was that it was a bit noisy in the morning.. so don't expect to sleep in too late! Otherwise great stay at this cozy hostel :) Thomas and Adinda

This was honestly the worst hostel experience I've ever had, and I've stayed in many venues you wouldn't exactly call 5 star luxury hotels. EVERYTHING in the hostel seemed like it hadn't been cleaned in months! Me and my friend stayed in one of the 20-people dorms, a tiny room in which they had crammed even tinier bunk beds. I had to sleep with two jumpers on because it was so cold at night, perhaps because of the broken windows that had been fixed with tape (!!!). The tape also didn't manage to shut out any noise from conversations out on the street, so I woke up several times thinking there was an argument inside the room when it was really outside. Sheets aren't included in the price and cost an extra 2,50€ which is why most people don't bother using sheets at all. Instead, they sleep on the leathery "inside" of the pillow, and on the rubbery mattress, which is probably meant to be easy to clean - but looks (and smells) like it hasn't been cleaned in ages, which makes this whole unsanitary situation even worse. The sheets you get when you pay smell moldy. I spent as little time as possible in the common room and kitchen, because they were so disgusting. Open bins right next to vegetables that are to be used. Additionally, the door to the balcony is always open, so I'd be shocked if they don't have mice or rats. The toilets were cold, had holes in the floor and (again) not clean. I didn't even check out the shower, because another guest warned me that they were nasty. this was a terrible hostel and I really, really would not recommend you to stay here, do yourself a favour and look elsewhere!
