Nice property, attentive staff and great location

Reviewed 31 december, 2021

We stayed in December expecting there to be snow, but there wasn't any so we ended up spending more time on property then originally expected, as most of our planned activities were cancelled. Our suite was very nice with a beautiful bathroom, nice fireplace and housekeeping was prompt and thorough each day. The staff throughout our stay were warm, welcoming and accommodating. Lana at concierge was great and provided us a number of recommendations for other things we could do to fill our days. Hiking in Minturn along the river was great and the Vail Magic Light Show was a lot of fun. We also visited the Spa on property and our services were fantastic, however, the steam room literally takes several hours to reach optimal temperature. Per the staff, it's not broken and just the way it is, which was a bit of a disappointment. Sauna and spa tub were adequate. The hotel restaurant was somewhat disappointing. The menu selection and food quality seemed subpar for a luxury hotel. Vail Chophouse next door was fantastic, however. Checkout turned into somewhat of a disaster and marred what was otherwise a very good stay for us. During checkout I was told there was a problem with my credit card being declined. The staff member ended up authorizing it 8 times before getting it charged successfully, ultimately because a problem with their system, amounting to several thousand dollars of available credit being held in authorizations. The staff member eventually maxed out the card due to the high number of authorizations. The way this was handled, particularly in hindsight, was very unprofessional. Some of the authorizations took more than 10 days to drop off my card.

Amazing Christmas 2021!

Words cannot express how wonderful our experience has been at the Arrebelle. The property is absolutely beautiful!!!! The first moment we arrived the staff were all so welcoming. Our experience checking in absolutely set the tone for our stay. We were traveling with an infant and needed two rooms and at the very least side by side. I had called ahead several times to make sure this would happen. As it turned out the rooms we were scheduled to be in had some issue so they upgraded us and what a huge blessing this was to our family. We were able to celebrate Christmas in one large place as a family. This was such a gift since this was our first Christmas after we loosing our husband/father to COVID a year ago. As it turned out the person who made this all happen was the GM Zach!! The nicest individual I have met in a long time. It was as if he was welcoming us into his private home!! From there they did not disappoint….room service went above and beyond. Especially our server Thomas!! The valet staff were ready at a moments notice to drive us to dinner or Vail village and then return to pick us up. We are beyond grateful to the team at the Arrebelle for helping us celebrate Christmas this year!!

Has to be the best in vail!

This hotel had given me an experience like no other! It had to be the best rock resort ever. The service was phenomenal and the location was outstanding! Like literally right in front of the mountain! The room was outstanding and the beds were really comfortable! And the bathroom floor was heated. I have never seen a hotel heat the bathroom floor! What I liked best was the breakfast! I had scrambled eggs and pancakes, very delicious! But take advantage of the two person breakfast for free, cause it is a little bit pricey. Overall this was the best stay I have ever had and I will be back!

My family and I are staying here for a week of skiing. Upon arrival we went straight to the spa. Elizabeth the manager was extremely accommodating and friendly. She allowed my daughter and I to sit and relax in the spa our 2nd and 3rd day. The spa area is relaxing and clean, but most of all … it is the staff at the spa. I had a massage from Travis; he has mad massage skills and a polite demeanor. Elizabeth, if you by chance read this. Thank you so much for being SO welcoming to me and my family. You made our stay at the Arrebell super special!!!

Exceptional Attention & Service

Reviewed 16 november, 2021

This was our first visit to Colorado and while it did not go as planned, I can honestly say that the staff at the Arrabelle were my super heroes. Two days before our planned departure (and 48 hours after our arrival), I was hit with a bad case of altitude sickness (I didn't even know this was a thing). My blood pressure and heart rate spiked and things went downhill fast. My husband down for his truck and the valet must have been wearing a superman cape because he somehow had our truck ready to go before we even exited the elevator (and we were in a hurry). The staff at Vail Hospital was amazing as well (I have never received such amazing attention). They were able to get me treated and feeling a bit better in a few hours but the doctor had told me I may need to get to lower ground before I would get any relief. I did get a few hours rest but unfortunately had to leave in the morning. The staff was completely understanding and not only waived my fees for missing our massages (even with the cancellation after the 24 hour mark) and refunded us for the remainder of the stay we had to cancel. (After a terrible experience from a trip to Vegas when covid first shut everything down and the $700+ I lost in hotel and car rentals due to a situation I had absolutely NO control over), this was a very sweet surprise and greatly appreciated. Beyond this, the hotel is gorgeous (the fireplace and Christmas tree photo I snapped in the lobby will make a great Christmas Card), the free breakfast was outstanding (best waffle I've ever had) and if I can muster up the strength to go back (with the tools I learned from the doctor at the hospital), we will definitely return.
