I was very pleased with this hotel! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was excellent! Everything was clean and fashionable. The room was spacious and modern. The hotel had everything I wanted; nice room, comfortable bed, pool/hot tub, breakfast, gym. The pool was by reservation, which worked out fine. The gym was perfect and 24-hour access. Breakfast was good, coffee was fresh. Everything was wonderful!
*Next Level Cleanliness* FAIL

This was a *Next Level Cleanliness* FAIL. For the first time in over 442 lifetime nights with Marriott, the mold/mildew growth experienced with the shower and liner was beyond disgusting and completely unacceptable. This was Friday night. It is now Monday night and not a word from the GM or Marriott Customer Care. They were both sent the horrific pictures. Avoid this location if you're able. #MarriottIsImploding
Mildew on shower curtains, bad checkin experience, bad bath towels.

I checked into a room that had not been cleaned by housekeeping. Problem number one. I received a new room. I got into a new room. Upon showering I noticed a massive amount of mildew on the shower curtains. First of all, plastic liners nor shower curtains should exist in a hotel room in 2021. Only a shower pan or tiled shower should exist. No one bathes in a tub anymore. Tubs are tripping hazards and if tubs are excuses to exist for children, well children should be left at home with Grandma while their parents enjoy a trip away in a hotel room with a proper shower with a glass sliding door. I’ve stayed in two different rooms in this hotel. Both times I experienced old, hardened, and over-washed bath towels that felt like sandpaper on the edges.
Basically clean and almost everything worked as it should.

I've stayed here several times and when rates are affordable (the place is often overpriced) it's one of my favorites in the Portland area. That said, it's not perfect and I noticed a slight decline in hospitality and service but nowhere near what some people wrote below. I also had an instance here where I left a watch in my room and they did find it and hold it for me. I didn't see any rudeness but the staff was a bit less friendly than in the past. I don't think it would be fair to say that this place is going downhill. Maybe at the most I saw a 5-10% decline, so-to-speak, and hopefully the hotel's owners will use this feedback to assess what's going well and what isn't. If they don't then it might wind up that it does start going downhill and that would be unfortunate.
Be very aware. Rude, unprepared and insensitive

Starting when I walked in. The young lady at check in desk greeted us with the rudest tone and words. I’ve never been talked to like that at a hotel and I stay at hotels about 200 plus nights a year. Room was cold and heater was Broken. They did get me another room. One positive. Their had been a snow storm a few day before. I commented about their parking lot being so dangerous to even walk from your car. She said the couldn’t do anything because their was no one to plow in the city. I pointed out the businesses all around them had plowed and perfect parking lots she didn’t have any answers just excuses. I pointed out Home Depot down the street carries salt. She had. I thing but excuses. I went to the lobby shortly after check in to watch the staff. I was shocked. People were coming in to stay and they sold those peoples confirmed reservations. Families with small children. They were especially rude to the Asian people. Now let’s talk about breakfast. Not much to talk about. Almost non existent. They ran out of food within an hour or so. Their excuse again was they were unprepared for the amount of people and due to the storm they couldn’t get anything. Well two things here. 1 I pointed out there is a market across the road. 2 the storm was on a Friday this was a Tuesday. The storm didn’t effect the credit card machines. Storm didn’t keep them from taking your money! I sat back in the lobby in the morning. Watching. The only time the were nice was when they knew I was recording them on my cell phone. Then they were so incredibly over the top nice. Happiest people there were the one leaving. I would not stay there again. You’ve been warned!
