Good location. Quite big choice of food at breakfast, at least on weekends. We got a room with windows to insinde “yard”, so there was too hot in the room even with open windows. The bar of restaurant is open only for breakfast.

Nice average hotel with good costumerservice. Very good breakfast! :) We stayed for 2 nights in february 2016 to see Vechtas stallionshow. Very lovely little city and nice people. Easy to park a car to hotels parkingarea.

The hotel is centrally located close to the main shopping street.
The room is basic, a bit spartan but clean and sufficient for a short stay.
The staff are friendly and the breakfast is very good.
I couldn't connect to the web or vpn for some reason although I had a password provided by the hotel for free.
Average Hotel with Central Location

My review is consistent with most or all of the other reviews. This a hotel that one might choose for modesty of cost and central location in Vechta. I spent thee nights in June 2016 at the Hotel Bremer Tor at the expese of Vechta University, where I was doing some guest teaching. People may imagine that guest professors are put up in splendor, but such is not the case, since universities cannot afford it - just so you know. I don't know exactly what they paid for the Hotel Bremer Tor, but I would guess that it was in the vicinity of 70€ per night. Does that count as "budget"? I don't know. In any case, I had a clean, reasonably large, room with the "amenities" that one expects in a basic, inexpensive hotel (and nothing more). My room faced on a side street, and it was rather noisy at night until 11 p.m. or so. I did not notice that the room had air conditioning, nor did I see any temperature control. That was OK for me, since the weather was mild but not hot. I mention this, however, because if a guest needed to open the windows in hot weather, the noise from the street would be intolerable. I can't say how the other rooms might be in this respect. There is free wi-fi, but no business services. The staff was friendly and pleasant, but there is no one in the reception most of the time. The owners of the hotel own a tapas restaurant next door (brasserie style, that people say is pretty good), and the hotel staff is mostly working there. If you come to stay at the hotel, be sure that they know when you are arriving; and if you need to make any special arrangments with the staff, be sure that you make them when checking in. My room included breakfast, and I must say that the breakfast offered was excellent. With the reservations mentioned, the hotel is fine for sleeping over in Vechta for a few nights. It is, as I said, clean, centrally located, and not expensive, but it is utterly lacking in charm.
Basic hotel located centrally

This hotel is located centrally in Vechta and has a very good restaurant near by. The rooms are ok but the blinds are too short so that the room is quite bright in the night due to the street lights. There is no mini bar and the Internet is very slow and charged at 7€ per day.
Breakfast was good and staff was friendly.
