Great Hotel in the heart of Venice
Reviewed 12 October, 2021
Our group of 8 spent 3 nights in this gem of a hotel. The location is excellent for exploring the center and surrounding areas of Venice. The rooms are gorgeous and best of all, the staff is marvelous. They took great care of us, providing extras as well as advice for tours and romantic walks and restaurants. They also arranged for water taxis to pick us up at the Venice airport and deliver us right to their hotel's jetty entrance on a canal. Awesome place and just plain nice folks.
A true gem tucked in the winding streets of Venice

Honestly, there's not a thing we didn't like about this hotel. The location is perfect - it doesn't take more than 5 minutes to reach St. Mark's Square, there's plenty of lovely places around and great restaurants to choose from.
The rooms are spacious, the bathrooms are large, all the necessary amenities are provided. The toiletries even included a wet towelette, which was a really nice touch. There's a minibar, a TV, the AC worked perfect. The window in our room was quite high; it overlooked an indoor patio, which made the room really quiet at night, allowing a good night's sleep.
Do yourself a favor and book a place at their outside patio to enjoy the breakfast - it's lovely to start your day seeing the city wake up and watch the gondolas and cargo boats pass by. The breakfasts are hearty, you can pick one of five options (pancakes, minimuffins, cold cuts, fruits, jams, a selection of bread... anything you could wish for). The coffee was delicious!
The hotel staff really made our stay exceptional. Everyone was very kind and helpful, doing their best to help us. The room service was impeccable and our room was kept spotless clean throughout our visit. With everyone being happy to assist us with any issue or request, we felt really welcome there.
After checking out, you can leave the luggage. There's also a spacious bathroom available for hotel guests so you can even comfortably change your clothes there. They care for you from the moment you step over the threshold - and even after you check out.

I remember researching all of the available hotels for our second trip to Venice and thinking "if only there was one with a balcony overlooking the canal and had its own jetty and was beautiful" well i eventually found it...and its the Hotel Becher.
We felt like film stars pulling up at the hotels own jetty when transfering from the airport.
There was none of the dragging luggage through the streets of Venice for us (which we had done the first time).
A young man quickly appeared to take our bags inside and we were warmly welcomed. Right from the outset, nothing was too much trouble.
We stayed in room 310 which is the junior suite (the one with the balcony directly above the jetty). We told staff there that we were there for the opening weekend of the Venice Carnivale, they went totally out of there way to print off itineries and maps for us showing us what was going on and where we needed to be.
As well as the excellent staff, the hotel is beautifully clean and spotless. The lift is small but all Italian elevators are.
The room has everything that you could possibly want (even slippers) .
The breakfast room was also spotless and had lots of options from cereal and fresh fruit to Scrambled Eggs and Bacon.
The cherry on the top for us though was the Balcony in our room. It was just big enough for the two of us to sit out at night and watch the comings and goings of the boat traffic.
It was also beautiful to sit in bed in the morning , French doors open with a cup of tea listening to the singing Gondoliers as they floated past under the window.
We also liked the restaurant almost opposite (with the red phone box) and the neighbouring mask shop.
If there was anything we could add to make this Hotel perfect for us, it would just have been a few English speaking TV channels. Currently there are 4 or 5 English speaking channels but are all News Channels such as CNN , Al Jazzera and France 24. The Chinese Documentary Channel CGTN was about the best LOL
Thanks again to all of the Staff of the front desk and the Breakfast room for making our stay special.
