Lovely Room, Good Location
We chose the Locanda Silva for its location and wasn’t disappointed, the room was typical Venetian and adequate for our needs. Breakfast was basic but ample, the staff were welcoming and friendly great view from the windows of an evening. All of Venice attractions are within easy walking distance along with many bars and restaurants.
Fantastic Location
Our family room was ok, out dated and a little cramped with two single beds and bunkbeds. The bathroom was spotless but tiny. For some strange reason both hot and cold taps ran with very hot water at least for a few minutes and the air con was noisy. However, the staff were friendly, everything was clean, breakfast was ok but the location was fantastic and so close to San Marco I would recommend.
Great Location
Locanda Silva is only 5 mins away from San Marco Square. Room was clean but a bit outdated, particularly the bathroom. Great place to stay with a nice little breakfast and good wifi but lacks amenities.
Good location but lots of stairs
It's a nice and simple hotel with helpful staff. My single room was rather small with a narrow bed, but it had air condition and a TV. There is only one WC and shower on the floor but most rooms seem to have their own so it was no problem. Several of the rooms are on the fourth floor and there is no lift. It's definitely not for anyone having a problem with going in stairs. The breakfast is good and served on the first floor. The location is very good in a quiet area at a small canal just a few minutes walk from St Marcus's square.
Good location, horrible staff, poor breakfast.
Good location, but poor and rude service. Room not very clean, with leaking shower, no view, lots of mosquitos. The mosquitos repellent plug was broken. We informed the reception and they said they didn't have another one. I said the room was full of mosquitos and if they could do anything, the answer has been " Welcome to Venice". Well, considering you know Venice and its mosquito problem so well, you should provide a working repellent. The breakfast was also very average. I spit my cappuccino as the milk was gone off. In general not a good experience, but the location was excellent. Pity for the rest.
