Great hotel, tough pet policy
The room was modern and had a great flow to it. It did smell pretty musty in there though. It was right next to the boardwalk and after checkout the host let us keep our car there while exploring the area for a couple hours. The biggest downfall was their very struck pet policy. Small area to walk your dog and pets are not allowed on the bed at all.
Excellent stay
We had a great stay here in Ventura. At first the hotel looks more like a motel and the building looks old. However, the rooms were renovated, clean, and spacious. They also had a microwave. We found the employees to be nice and pleasant and the hotel held our luggage while we went to the channel islands national park. The location is excellent, very close to main street with lots of cute stores and restaurants. Would love to visit again. Grab and go breakfast was provided.
Ventura, great Adventure to take
Strategically located, this hotel offers you downtown and boardwalk one block away each. There are great places to eat close to it as well, was quiet at night for a great sleep, 100% clean. All staff was very helpful and friendly
Not aPlus
This was a horrible stay. The heat/ fan did not work on a cold night. When reported to the front desk, we were told that there was no one to help. The bathroom switch would not turn off the light/ fan. At 8 am there was no hot water for a shower. We could not leave this property fast enough. So disappointing for a BW branded property. Hard to stick with their properties, if we cannot count on a good standard.
Location we needed
We choose this hotel for two reasons. First it was close to a hospital my son was having surgery . Second it was party of the Bonvoy program. It is a basic hotel. We were not looking for up scale . We were just looking for somewhere close to the Hospital . We forgot our switch charger in our room. I knew exactly where it was. I called the hotel. No one got back to me. I had to call again no one got back to me. I gave up. Very disappointed . Did not make me feel like they cared to much about us.
