Brilliant hotel in a fantastic location!

The hotel is situated in a great location with a few convince stores just a few minutes away. The hotel also has brilliant transport links with tram and bus stops around a five minute walk away. The room was clean and spacious, well worth the money we had paid! We didn’t use the balcony but it was a nice addition never the less. The bathroom was much larger than you usually get with a separate bath, shower and double sinks. The bed was a little on the hard side but we wouldn’t say it was uncomfortable, though we did ask for extra pillows as one didn’t seem like enough. The staff were impeccable throughout are stay and always greet you whenever you leave or return to the hotel. The only downside, if you can call it that is the breakfast. The hot option was limited to boiled and scrambled eggs and there were no pastries available, only bread and some cake slices. The cold options were extensive with a variety of meats, cheeses, cereals and yoghurt.

Just spent 2 nights at Hotel Zipser. 5 -10 mins walk to Rathaus and number 5 stop for Hop on Hop off Big Bus which we were able to buy from the hotel reception. About 15 mins pleasant walk to MuSeums Quartier. Great little independent jazz bar next door which made us very welcome. Really great mix of clientele. Even happy to do us toasties at midnight! Other restaurants within 2 mins walk included Indian (great food), Persian, pizzeria, tapas, other cafes and bars ! Room was spacious and clean. Staff very friendly including chambermaids, breakfast staff and day and night reception staff. Chambermaid Came running to reception to give me My earrings I had left! Reception gave me a plug adaptor to borrow and also offered umbrellas. Also happily printed our boarding passes. Breakfast was excellent. Such good value for money. Will head back to Vienna as amazing city of which we only scraped the surface and would stay at Hotel Zipser again!

Great Place to stay

This hotel is in the perfect location for the underground and also walking distance from the centre of Vienna. There is a supermarket in the same street and other shops and eateries close by. The room we stayed in was spotless and very modern with a safe and mini bar. Being at the back of the hotel was so peaceful and we had a big balcony overlooking the garden. Breakfast was lovely with lots of choice served until 10:00am. I would definitely recommend this hotel

Perfect hotel in quiet area

My husband and I stayed for two nights in early December to see the Christmas markets. It was in a nice, quiet neighborhood within walking distance of several restaurants and the Christmas market at the Rathaus. The breakfasts were varied, hot and delicious. Our room was a nice size and the bathroom outfitted with everything we needed. Frau Pan at the front desk was very engaging and full of advice for us. This was our second trip to Vienna and it was lovely to stay in a new area filled with lovely architecture. We highly recommend staying here.

Very good hotel in need of a paint job

The only reason this review has only 4 stars is that the hotel is in need of a bit of TLC. The corridors are drab and need pointing. The room needed refreshing. That said the hotel was very clean and spacious. The room and bathroom were large with heating and a/c. We were there for Christmas markets so didn't need a/c but the heating was good. The hotel offers B&B and the breakfast was a generous mix of cereal/continental and hot eggs/toast. What was put standing was the service. Everyone was happy and concerned for your contentment. Alen and his colleagues on reception, Alexander and Hilda, were great sources of information about where to go and what to see. Tourist app are available for free. All floors accessible with internal elevator. The hotel is situated within easy walking distance of the Rathaus Square and the old town of Vienna. Lots to see and do and all walkable. Museums and the Spanish Riding School, as well as St Stephan's cathedral. Nearby restaurants and pubs. Try of Fromme Helene (pious Helene) for good Viennese cooking. Highly recommended.
