We reserved our room with hotels.com, when we arrived my brother reserved another room, in the morning when we went to the breakfast I got charged because according to them I did not have included the breakfast when clearly was included in my reservation, I wet to talk to front dest and the receptionist name LUCI was rude and very unprofessional, !I payed more than my brother for my room and I did not get the breakfast! The service of the staff is great but they will take advantage overcharging when they get a chance!
You get what you pay for

This is a typical Marriot hotel. However, this building is worn and tired, and poorly maintained. The staff is friendly but it is better communicating with them in Spanish. The room is average. The bathroom is dark with very poor lighting. We had to ask for lotion because there was none but there was an empty bottle of body wash. The worse part were the pillows, towels and the smell in the middle of the night. It was damp and at times it smell like sewer. I asked for an inspection of the odor but instead they sent a lady ready to deodorize the room. We also saw a tiny roach alive on the bathroom floor. Having said all of that, it is worth 60 USD a night. It would be better to increase the price and improve the overall hotel experience.

The hotel and resterant staff were absolutly the best in service and quility. Mr Pablo Santiago who works in the restaurant, goes above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. The food is the best Ive had at any Hotel. The hostess were very friedly and helpful. The wait staff were always attentavive to all customers. The resterant was very clean and sanitized after each customer left. Wait staff wore mask and face shields. The front desk staff are very professional and spoke Very good English. The helped me with any needs that came about during my stay. The Laudry service was also excellent. Hotel is very quiet
Great stopover to visit Palenque Ruins

I used this hotel as a layover to visit the Palenque ruins. The hotel is full size Marriott with a lot of upscale shopping within walking distance. There is a supermarket across the street and an upscale mall attached to the hotel. Due to pandemic rules, most of the shopping mall was closed. There is a lot of nice dining available. The hotel staff is great and welcoming. The rooms were well sanitized. During entry to the hotel, you are temperature checked and hand sanitizer given to you. The room was clean and the sheets seemed liked they were fresh and the room sanitized. The swimming pool was open. In heathier times, it would seem a good location to stay here. There is enough shopping and entertainment around this upscale location. Still the price of rooms is a bargain right now. There is plenty of security. The airport is about a 15 minute taxi ride away.
Not what is expected of a Marriott hotel

Where should I start with my list of problems: - the 3 table lamps and the bed lights were not working - the AC was noisy and there seemed to be little control over it - it was either on flat out or off. - the hot water tap in the bathroom did not deliver hot water. - the desk phone seemed to be on all of the time. The only way to turn the noise off from it was to unplug it. - The bathroom shower head was rusty - The sealant around the bath was black - the door frame into the bathroom was rusty, corroded and painted over. - The bedding in the room and the towels in the bathroom all felt damp every night. The cost of the hotel was USD 49 plus tax and I honestly have to say it was not worth it. It is clear that the room is not checked prior to having a guest check in and maintenance seems to be non existent. I complained to the desk staff regarding all of the above. Not a hotel representative of the Marriott brand - sadly.
