We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Springhill Suites! The front desk team welcome was warm, cordial, and set the tone for an amazing stay. The staff was simply the best! Shout out to Debbie and the entire crew behind the complimentary breakfast!
This hotel has found an effective way to follow COVID-19 protocols while maintaining a high quality and memorable hospitality experience! We were situated on the 11th floor in a beautiful room with an exceptional view of the Atlantic Ocean!
Springhill Suites definitely provided a little something extra and created some memories that we will take home and beyond! We hated to leave and will be back one day!
Unacceptable! Do Not Stay Here! Ants, stains and more…

We checked into Springhill Suites on October 13th and checked out the same night. After being move to three different rooms with a variety of issues we decided that the best course of action was to leave and check in at another hotel all together. The first room had a bed with black spots on the sheets. The second room had a pull-out bed with dead and live ants as well as urine stains on the mattress. There was also sticky spots on the carpet. Not to mention white spray paint scarcely covering writing on the walls. The third room had disgusting brown stains on the bed sheets, which looked like human “skid marks”.
After enjoying a great family vacation there in 2019, I thought that I had for sure found a “go-to” hotel when visiting Virginia Beach but this experience has completely changed my mind. The front desk representative profusely apologized and called the manager, who was not on duty or on-site. The manager never spoke to us directly and only offered to move us to yet another room (would have been the 4th) or let us leave to find a different lodging option without charge.
This was an unacceptable nightmare experience for us after traveling several hours in traffic to arrive to a Marriott property which was well below standards and having to find another hotel on the night of check-in due to the lack of cleanliness and quality checks. I am so disappointed and will be changing back to Hilton properties from now on when traveling on business and leisure. I will also be telling my colleagues and friends to avoid this property as well. Springhill Suites DO better!!

Great location all amenities available pools were great hotel was not as polished as I was expecting could use a little TLC breakfast was available again dining area needed assistance beach and boardwalk right out back entrance

This hotel is located on a quiet section of the boardwalk. It is in walking distance to many great restaurants and other attractions. As soon as you enter the hotel, you get a resort-like feel, from the big windows looking out onto the beach to the fresh, clean smell in the lobby. The people working at the front desk are warm and friendly.
Yes, the rooms are a bit dated and the furniture has seen better days. There is a really nice balcony that's small but is perfect for reading a book or just watching the waves roll in. You can't ask for a better view!
The outdoor pool adds to the resort feel, with a poolside bar and grill. There's also an indoor pool, but we didn't use it because the weather was fantastic during our time there. (We just wished there were more umbrellas!)
This hotel is following Covid safety protocols, so there's no room cleaning during your stay and the breakfast selection is limited. Totally understandable given the current situation. I called the front desk to ask for towels when we needed them and received clean ones within 10 minutes.
My biggest complaint was that the tables in the lobby/breakfast area weren't cleaned frequently. I know these places are short-staffed, but I was surprised that I didn't see anyone wiping the tables down as people left during the breakfast rush.
Overall, I would stay here again, especially after the remodel next year.
Horrible Customer Service

From July 24th thru July 26th, our family decided to visit this hotel for a nice weekend trip. This was our first family trip with the little ones and one that we have been eagerly waiting for given the challenging constraints of the pandemic. Overall, we were able to create wonderful memories and our kids loved the experience.
On our way home we realized that my wife left her wedding ring inside the hotel room. We called the hotel and this is when the debacle began. Countless calls and no real answers. We spoke with the front desk multiple times who said they had reached out to housekeeping but no one was responding. Eventually they said housekeeping checked but didn’t find it. We literally just left. There was also no sense of concern, care and urgency from the staff. Ultimately, the message we received was that housekeeping left for the day and they would both call and email housekeeping for an update. I think you see where this is going. No response to us the following day from either the front desk staff or housekeeping. Multiple calls made, multiple lukewarm responses, no real accountability and ultimately almost a week later they informed us that they could not locate the ring(of course after the room was occupied by another guest).
At this point, we have just left it in God’s hands.
