Ask to see room before checking in
Great location right off 95. COVID-19 regulations have taken a big toll on this hotel. Lobby is not welcoming at all. It is dark and not inviting. There were chairs along the walls of what used to be the breakfast area. No breakfast available anymore. Room was mostly clean, which I highly appreciated. Plenty of pillows but they're the small, sort of square ones. I brought my own, thank goodness. Bed comfort was so-so. Exhaust fan in the bathroom made a lot of noise, the toilet seat was so wobbly that it slipped about 3 inches right and left, making me feel I was either going in the toilet water or on to the floor. I did not discover this issue until just before bed, and had already settled in. I did leave a note in the room and at the front desk. The floor of the bathroom in front of the toilet had telltale signs that a man had stayed in that room recently, if you know what I mean. Hair dryer and coffeepot worked fine. Bring your own coffee, filter, creamer, and sugar. This is an honest review of my one night stay.
Great room, amazing value
The room really was great. The beds looked very immaculate, as you walked into the room, they were comfortable too. Very clean room, the towels were fluffy and very soft, not like most places where the towels feel like sandpaper. When I booked the room, the rate seemed pretty cheap, when I opened the door to the room, I felt like I hit the jackpot. Now I don't usually tip the maid at motels, but I did this time. I felt like I needed to show some appreciation, for the condition of the room. I see a couple f reviews here I don't understand, because it's certain not my experience. I would certainly go out of my way to recommend this motel to other travelers. Again, one heck of a price for this kind of comfort.
Pick a neighboring hotel. You're worth it.
Never being one to judge a book by its cover, my husband and I decided to go through with our online booking and stay here. The gentleman at the check in counter was not rude, but he certainly wasn't polite or welcoming. It was just one night, so we continued to our room. The bed was saggy and the room had a slight smell.. big deal..We've already come this far. First thing I really want to do after our long drive was use the washroom. Empty toilet paper roll. At least there was a new one nearby, let me change that roll for you. Next. No soap. Huh. I packed some for our trip, whew! After sleeping in the saggy bed (lots of noise from upstairs and neighbors..thin walls), I wanted to shower/hose myself off. Hairdryer didn't work. Hubby made coffee.. No coffee cups. We decided to pack up and go to burger king across the street. Who knows if the staff that prepares breakfast had access to soap??
Never again
Stay away from this dump. Bathroom fixtures broke, loud people staying above us kept us up all night. Funky smell in room, rock hard bed. Breakfast was not served until 7 am so we did not get to use it, we had to be on the road by 6:30.
Good for the price
Room was adequate after initial check-in problem, where room was not ready to be occupied. Things worked, and, other than beds that were a little soft for my liking, were reasonably clean. Not a huge breakfast, but, again, was fine for me. Convenient to I-95.
