nice place to stay

Reviewed 13 october, 2021

We stayed here during Parents Weekend. The hotel was busy and lively. I'm not sure why some of the previous reviews criticize the rooms. Ours was spacious, clean and comfortable. Yes, it looked out over the parking lot - but we weren't in it except for sleeping. The Bistro, also busy, served good food - especially the breakfast. It seemed understaffed (as are many hotels right now) so service was a bit slow. But the food was worth it. In all, a nice play to stay for a couple of nights - close to Baylor, Magnolia, restaurants. One caveat - we come from a state where masks are mandatory and were shocked to see so many un-masked people in the lobby, bar and everywhere. Well, this is Texas.

Old, dumpy hotel.

This hotel is beat up, dirty and less than stellar. I’d skip it and go find a newer, nicer hotel. Very unimpressed. Beat up walls, moldy shower, dirty baseboards. Way too expensive to look like this and I feel very ripped off! Only plus is the location. Front desk staff was incredibly nice.

Awful & expensive for a dated experience…

Terrible This hotel is pricey & swanky like but a complete waste of time & money. Hotel looks like an after-work bar for people with more money than sense. The furnishings are reflection of 1970 & just as ugly & awful. The wallpaper might be newer but expect 1974… The bed was TERRIBLE- lumpy & squeaky…I literally thought we were at 100 year old grandma’s spring bed with cheap pillow top from a garage sale. No micro in the room & a wine cooler type partially working fridge. Coffee downstairs & the citrus water was good 😊. No breakfast unless you order & pay $$ Do not recommend!

Our experience was amazing. Taylor at the front desk is superb. Bar and restaurant were perfect. Very clean and comfortable. High quality amenities. Would recommend. Walking distance to great shops and eateries.

Delicious Breakfast and Great Service!

Reviewed 4 july, 2021

Had breakfast with my wife on July 4. The ambience at this upscale, modern restaurant near downtown Waco is excellent. Restaurant just has a great feel, as does the hotel lobby where the restaurant is located. Kate, our server, was excellent! Friendly, genuine, efficient, just a delight to have as a server; not pushy/annoyingly chatty the way some fake friendly servers can be at times. The food was fantastic! Both of us had eggs, my wife with avocado. Perfectly cooked. And, the sausage and bacon were extremely tasty., as were the potatoes with my omelette. Just a great breakfast in a great setting! Nicely done Hotel Indigo, three cheers for the chefs, and you’re a great server, Kate! In the nature of “needs improvement,” my wife and I thought the coffee was, at best, mediocre — way too weak, both initially and on a refill, which we hoped would be better. Alas, no. Coffee needs major improvement, which should be pretty easy to pull off. Still gets five stars for an A+ experience! Not inexpensive, but well worth it!
