Let us down

Reviewed 23 november, 2021

A whole lobby of people had booked the last tour to Rainbow Bridge of the year. Many had travelled 4-6 hours and all were there in the early morning for our 7am cruise. The NPS had closed the dock 2 days earlier, but when I called the night before - they confirmed the tour was still on. The morning of the cruise - no boat crew - no one to check us in - no one to let us know what was going on. After 1 hour - we got final confirmation it was cancelled. I have no problem with the dock being closed - but to not inform any passengers of the cancellation was mean and costly to not just me.

Loud and run down.

Reviewed 21 november, 2021

We are not usually complainers, but this hotel has very run down rooms and is super loud at all hours. We are in our room trying to sleep at 10:30PM listening to door after door slam, people talking loudly in the hallways and can hear the people in the next room like they are in ours, including the constant non-stop coughing of one of the guests, along with their screaming kids. Our room has stained carpet and old worn furniture. When we first arrived, the room next to us left their barking dog in their room for over an hour. Not impressed! The grounds however are nice, but we won’t return.

Avoid this place before/after your rafting trip

Reviewed 4 november, 2021

I stayed here for one night prior to my amazing 2-week raft trip on the Grand Canyon, and one more night afterwards. I chose this place because it is owned by Aramark, the same company that owns the truly outstanding rafting company I used, Wilderness River Adventures. The 2 organizations could not be more different. Lake Powell "Resort" facilities were run down, I was hostage to the restaurants there which were mediocre at best, and the service, both at reception and in the restaurants, was curt, abrupt, and generally unwelcoming - just the opposite of the experience I had from start to finish with Wilderness River. I highly recommend WRA for a raft trip, but resist the pressure to stay at the Lake Powell "Resort."

Nice room and beautiful lake views

Reviewed 28 october, 2021

We requested a second floor room thinking it would offer the best views of the lake but the balcony had a solid stone wall completely blocking the view while seated. Very poor design! We immediately requested a room change to the first floor and the front desk clerk was very nice and accommodating. Our first floor patio still had a partial wall but not enough to block the view. It also allowed us to walk straight out to the lake's walking path. (Also note - there is no elevator for luggage to the second floor.) Our room in building 8 was fine. It was nice, clean and comfortable. Appreciated the Starbucks coffee in our room. The pool area looked really nice but we never had time to use it. One night we got take out from the hotel bar and the food was very good. The other night we went into Page for dinner at Bonkers which was fantastic!

Great Location but needs updates

Reviewed 20 october, 2021

This hotel is located right on the lake and has the most beautiful walks and views. The breakfast and dinner we had in the restaurant was excellent with excellent presentation. The hotel room was large enough and the bed was very comfortable. This place is in need of an update everywhere. The baseboards are falling apart, the dresser in the room was gaping and falling apart at the bottom so they need to update and repair. I heard that our tour group will no longer go there starting next year because the place hasn’t been kept up o date in their rooms.
