The outside and lobby look renovated, but the rooms are very dated and tired looking. Rooms have older carpeting, dim lighting And the rooms have very thin walls. The staff was helpful. Overall, I expected more.
Check the House Keeping Policy
Reviewed 4 november, 2021
This is the 4th time we have stayed at this BW+, and were a little disappointed at what we thought was a solid hotel. Of Course this is COVID, but basic levels of service must be maintained or elevated to adjust for safety protocol changes. Having a policy to not service rooms because of COVID is understandable, then support the policy by boosting logistic support to your guest without them having to constantly calling to have bathing supplies, towels, and room servicing needed. Having all amenities in good working order. We requested room house keeping service a couple of times, but did receive them. We were out all day and did not return until late evening and I guess our request did not make it to the day time manager. When we request during the day we were given a very "New England" no nonsense style informational briefing on what the COVID policy was. We made another service request. House keeping never made it. We also reported that the room phone was not functioning. Although I do have to say when we need stuff brought up it was PDQ, Soap and Towels anyway.
Multiple Staff LIED to us about HANDICAP accessible room
Reviewed 26 october, 2021
We requested a handicap- accessible room as I am disabled. Followed up with Johnny the day before check-in who noted our request. Upon getting to room, no handicap access. Night clerk said they could switch us in the morning. Next morning, the morning clerk said it would take awhile as they were getting the room cleaned. Returned late afternoon thinking that was plenty of time to clean and the next clerk said they didn't have any available and couldn't switch us. It was a very busy weekend in Boston, and no other hotels were available by then (under $350/night). So we were stuck there. A HANDICAPPED ROOM request is not because it's a fun idea- handicapped people need them TO GO TO THE BATHROOM and bathe. If BE Waltham didn't have any available, they should have said so, all three times. At least I would have known to look elsewhere sooner, not the day/ night of. A plea to those of you who might request them because you like the spacious showers, etc, but don't need them- please leave them for those like us who need them...thank you!
Railroad work in Boston
Reviewed 25 october, 2021
Stayed here with my Friends/ co-workers while we were in town performing some emergency crane rail repairs. Most days were 12-14hrs long. The hotel bar was nice to be able to get a quick bite to eat before heading to the room for a shower and sleep.

Best Western is very understandable under our circumstances. My husband and myself were very pleased with the service, manager, front desk very polite and accommodating. The staff workers very nice. The breakfast is opened and we were able to have breakfast this time since we did not have an appointment early. Food was excellent and very clean. Thank you so much for all your help.
