Quick trip - great stay

We stayed here for a quick overnight and we were overall very pleased. Really nice! My spouse had stayed here a few years back and liked it, so we stayed again.
The BIG positives:
- Room and bathroom were incredibly CLEAN (kudos to housekeeping!)
- HVAC is actually controllable by guest and actually WORKS. We used both AC and heat and both were responsive and worked great for us. (This is surprisingly rare enough to mention here!)
- Quiet (I requested quiet and they delivered!)
A few tiny things to note (and I'm stretching here): Mattresses were soft for our taste and the bedsprings creaked whenever we turned over. Toilets are loud (as in all hotels these days). This hotel is in a corporate area so there's nothing around there (though quite convenient off highway) so not really a place where you can walk anywhere. One restaurant across street which was good. Parking is a bit weird (on hill) but plenty of it around back and it's free. We were not there long enough to use pool or breakfast so no comment on that. Lastly, they charged me more per night when my trip shortened to one night. Probably standard for many hotels but a bit annoying.
Clean pleasant stay

Hotel was very clean, check-in was quick once staff came out of the office. The only negative thing I would say is their parking lot, it’s on a hill and if it’s slick outside, it could be a challenging walk to the front door. Not the fault of the hotel but there are limited dining options nearby and after a long day of exploring Boston, would have been nice to be close to options but ended up ordering delivery. Hotel was within easy driving distance to the train station to get to North Station in Boston.
Horrific Customer Services

Hi Y’all, I don’t usually write bad reviews but this Hotel definitely needs it! I booked my reservation through a 3rd party. First, they gave me a handicap room. Which I didn’t need it. Said something to the front desk clerk in case someone who is in that situation could use the services. Told me they give 3rd party those rooms. Tall brunette hair clerk who I believe is the 2nd shift manager was completely rude to me every since I walked into the lobby. Calvin the other clerk is a nice gentleman. And second, I had a family emergency and needed to check-out early. Tried to get a refund. Which they don’t usually have an issue unless the hotel refuses to accommodate. Of course, they can careless to be emphatic. Took a Lyft to the airport and told the driver what happened. He said this is not the first time customers have complained about Hilton Garden Inn Waltham. I’ve traveled a lot and stayed at many hotels. Overall, this is the worse pathetic customer service I’ve ever dealt with. SMH! Don’t waste your time or the energy at this hotel! They definitely need more training on how to be friendly no matter if you’re a Hilton Honors or not.
Hotel is obsessed with ripping you off on food

As title says, hotel is obsessed with ripping you off on food. They have tooooooons of snack bar options. All overpriced. There are like 3 pages worth of items they sell. Anything reasonable, is not available for some reason. They even have wine or champagne. So for those that want that available, it' there. I did get charged for something I didn't use though, but was able to get it removed.
Breakfast is $10, has scrambled eggs and potato wedges but is overpriced.
Good elevators. Good location, right on Totten Pond Rd. juuuuuuuust far enough to not hear 95 noise and convenient to Bentley University (and also to Burlington Mall or Lexington sites).
Most of the time 2 people are at the desk, some friendly, (the manager is, and the young woman). Theres also a foreign guy and and old russian lady and they're not very friendly.
Rooms are nice, and good tv channel package.
Most of the parking spots are on a hill so it's noteasy to use the cart if you have luggage.
Ruth Chris is a 90 second walk away and is of course ridiculously overpriced but at least it's there.

Stayed at this hotel for 3-4 nights with no issues whatsoever. Very clean, friendly employees, very accommodating, decent location, clean rooms and nice lobby area. Parking close by, quiet neighborhood
