More about the hotel
Gerencia pésima
The hotel has no elevator (my room was the 5th floor) it is difficult to carry your luggages. It is located in a alley. You cannot walk to the plaza de armas (town center) because is too far for walking and the area is not so safe. It is a hotel for traveller's who has to spend the night because of the bus station is very closed. There are no views because the windows open onto the main corridor it is better use the curtains because there is no privacy, it very noisy due to this, you can hear to other guests even in the hall. They will offer you excursions, if you want to waste your time order them. We have been like 2 hours in a gas station waiting for other passengers, other say in the train station after the tour, 4 hours waiting for the guide tour in machu picchu, other day in the bus failed and we have no more tour and other problems they are not well coordinated bus, guides, ticket hours. We had 3 day tour ticket and I think it could be possible in 1.5 days with a better company. The staff in the the hotel are nice, no more.
Don't stay here!
Don't stay at this hostel! They charge you extra for everything and most of the receptionist are very unfriendly and not helpful. The English is also very poor. The rooms are quite clean but the isolation for sounds is so bad that you here everything which make it hard to sleep. The breakfast is very poor aswell, just dry bread, butter and if you are lucky fruits. There are so many hostel in the area and even much cheaper! So don't go here!
Great Value & Good Location
Easy walking distance to main square but tucked away from noise. Helpful, friendly staff. Clean adequate rooms with comfy beds and loved the hot water bottles in llama cases delivered at night. Great view from breakfast dining room.
Not bad, convenient location for tour
We stayed here as a base for a tour of the Sacred Valley. Our room was clean, and the hot water worked consistently well, which I was worried about after reading reviews for other places in the area. Wifi mostly works well, but only in the common area. The breakfast was average, fresh fruit and good coffee, but very stale bread. The staff at the desk were always very helpful.
Great place to stay!
My mom and I stayed here for 3 nights in April and had a great time! The staff were all very friendly and super helpful. Cesar spoke really good English which was super helpful and he was always eager to help us. Between my mom and I, we know enough Spanish to get by but Cesar was our "go-to" guy when we really needed help figuring something out like the best way to get to Machu Picchu or whether or not a certain area was safe for us 2 girls to walk around alone in. We stayed in 2 different rooms during our stay because when we went to Machu Picchu we stayed one night in Aguas Calientes. Both of our rooms at the Qori were very clean and comfortable. During our stay in Peru we stayed at 4 different hostels and the Qori was by far the best. For the price, Qori is an incredible value. The free breakfast was also the best of all 4 hostels we stayed in. The location of this hostel was perfect and we felt very safe walking all over central Cusco.
