Excellent gluten-free options
Opinión escrita el 22 de febrero de 2020
I usually struggle to find places with decent gluten-free options. Scolfes has oodles of tasty options. The gluten-free cheese scone is to die for! Very welcoming and friendly, dog friendly, and delicious food! Highly recommend a visit 🤗

Lovely couple, lovely building!

We needed somewhere to stay when house hunting in Sussex and discovered Scolfes. Ian and Jenny make this place a delight to stay in. Fourteenth century building with 21st century service. Really homely, comfortable beds, lovely food and beautiful views. A good example of what can be done with a historic building, marrying modern amenities with quirky architecture. We will be back for afternoon tea when we move to Sussex. Thank you Ian and Jenny.

Breakfast

An outstanding breakfast using locally sourced ingredients and cooked with love and care by Ian. Served with the best coffee (the owners own blend) in the South East, by the always cheerful Jenny. Very definitely worth a visit.

Chance visit - delightful find well worth dropping in

We were on a round trip along the coast from Seaford returning via Battle towards Hailsham and saw the A-boards indicating teas available. We were made very welcome and introduced to Olive, 7-year old Scottie. Tea, home-made scones, cream and jam were served well and we shared with our hosts a number of mutual experiences on wider UK travel and locations. Other scrumptious home-made cakes were available. Well worth a visit in superbly-presented surroundings and immaculate facilities.
