Got ripped off by expedia on parking
Reviewed 16 november, 2021
Saw hotel on priceline.com offering free parking. Found same hotel at same price on Expedia. Assumed the deal was the same. Turns out it's not free parking on Expedia. So be careful when booking. Arrived at hotel porter was helpful. Front desk advised that most websites offer free parking except Expedia. Ended up paying $ 49.00 plus service fees and taxes and the tip to the valet every time I used the car. Parking cost $ 60.00/day. The hotel staff was fine. The Queen room was Tiny. We had to ask for bath towels, Kleenex and Luggage racks. There is no fridge, no coffee machine, no curtesy water bottles and no hanger for your clothes in the bathroom. Their Henley Express Breakfast had one choice of muffin. Coffee was warm. The breakfast staff on our second day was inexperienced.
Nicest hotel staff I’ve met!

This hotel was very nice overall but the reason this review is being made is due to how nice everyone working was! Not only were they cheerful and polite and always smiling (through masks) but they dealt with a huge business crowd like pros. One guy in particular was Binod at the bar, he was always cheerful and making jokes. And he was great with some business folk that had too much to drink! I don’t normally make reviews but he was so great I was bummed I didn’t see him my last night so I hope this makes it to him! Thanks for the great stay! 10/10!
A LONG-DELAYED RETURN TO THE HISTORIC GRACE OF THE HENLEY PARK
Reviewed 10 october, 2021
The Henley Park was a favorite of ours when our son was in grade school (he's now 30). But he went to Georgetown and so we found accommodations closer to the University when in D.C. But after an absence of more than twenty years we found the Henley Park to be better than we remembered it - a very tidy, historic oasis in the midst of what some of the worst of contemporary modern architecture has to to offer, including a dreadful edifice of a large hotel chain directly across the street. Our junior suite was spacious, nicely laid out, and comfortably furnished. The lobby, bar, and dining room have also been renovated with a light touch befitting the historic property that the Henley Park continues to be. We were shown to our room early and served a great high tea by the general manager himself shortly thereafter. All of his staff are first rate, friendly and highly competent. I really look forward to my next stay there.
Best hotel in DC.

The experience in this hotel is fantastic, the whole team is memorable, during our check-in process Luisa helped us with her recommendations and she gave us a list of places we could visit, then she called us to see if the room was okay, the girl from the restaurant Rachel was also very friendly, our room was extremely clean, we will definitely be back.
Historic American Hotel

I had the pleasure of staying at the Henley Park Hotel September 2021. I stayed in room 504 , as I had requested a room in the back that was more quiet, as the front of the hotel faces Massachusetts Ave which can be a bit noisy. The hotel is a very classy historic boutique hotel, they have afternoon tea at 4:00 pm, the hotel was very very clean, all of the hotel front desk people, as well as other staff work together as a team to make the clients stay a happy one! They greet you each time you enter the lobby and there is a friendly valet/door gentleman. Although my room was small, it was super clean with a comfortable bed, hairdryer, shampoo, lotion, soaps. A home cooked breakfast 7-10:30 daily is a must and you can order some items from the small bar in the evening. The hotel manager Dereck was very friendly and helpful as well. The hotel is convenient to restaurants downtown, as well as tourist attractions such as the Smithsonian, the Washington Monument and the Capitol. in the future I will re-book at the Henley Park Hotel....thanks to all for a very relaxing stay!
