We stayed 2 nights on a spa package found on the fat fox Inn website. It was soooooooo worth it. We had an executive room with dinner included one of the nights plus included was a bottle of prosecco AND 2 spa treatments at a local salon. (1 treatment each for my husband and I. He had a back massage and I had the nicest facial ever!) It was spectacular value. Everyone was super friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend anyone to try the package. Food great in the pub, portion sizes good and all freshly cooked. Loved everything about this break.

The Fat Fox has always been a favourite of mine and I was looking forward to staying there again during a recent business trip but unfortunately I will not be staying there ever again!! What was a delightful place with exceptional food is now a place that feels like it just needs a good scrub!! Toothpaste wasn’t mine but was left from the previous guest, TV was just minging clearly it hasn’t been wiped in months and in these times ?!? There’s cobwebs down the side of the wardrobes that have clearly been there a long time. I didn’t take pictures of the grubby walls and carpet. I ordered scampi with a mango and chilli salad with skin on fries… essentially I got scampi with frozen fries and a ramekin of peas! Such a bloody shame!!
Wouldn’t go again

Food was pretty averages some dishes better than others my sausages were ok not then best quality meat and my mash potato was very, very lumpy!! I ordered a Bloody Mary the tomato juice hd mould floating around in it so I returned the drinks and let the bar staff know. I was shocked to see they had charged me for the shot of vodka still, when I questioned the bar staff the lady said ‘well I’ve removed the tomato juice….’ She rolled her eyes and said she get her manager who was just as rude, really bad customer service!!! Such a shame as it’s a nice little pub and I have had nice food and good service in the past here. The least a waitress and bar tender should be is friendly!!!!
Poor customer service
