Hands down - worst Marriott stay. Despite being renovated - Marriott clearly cheaped out on this property. Don’t be fooled. They have a bar, lounge and kitchen but it isn’t fully “open”. Beware the walls are so paper thin - I can hear EVERY SINGLE noise (ALL BODILY FUNCTIONS) in the rooms beside and above my room .... People talking in normal tones (not yelling - just talking) ... I can hear every person opening and closing their doors around me and people WALKING in the hallway. I asked for housekeeping service twice over my 5 night stay - never happened. ( yes, You have to request housekeeping - staffing shortages dressed up as "sustainability / COVID protocols")... someone /thing barfed in the hallway - the mess is still there, 18 hours later ... Never in 25 years of traveling have I been so disappointed out by a Marriott property. Only redeeming quality is Matthew the night manager - without him, I would have given this property -3 stars
New courtyard poorly maintained

We arrived at this newish courtyard property after a family funeral. Room looked nice until that night when saw a live silverfish moving across the bathroom floor. Also found small ants in one of the beds. The front desk staff member apologized and offered us another room subject our approval. That room had red stains on the carpet near the bed. Yet another room was tried but this too had stained carpet and evidence of bugs. After all that they refunded our stay and assisted us in finding alternate lodging. This was so disappointing for a new courtyard. Also while the night front desk staffer was apologetic and helpful, after all this, the actual hotel manager never followed up with us with an apology or anything. Strongly suggest staying elsewhere!

We were a part of 8 rooms reserved for our grandson’s wedding. When we checked in we gave our name and said what wedding we were a part of. They said no wedding group by that name was on record but they did find our reservation by our name. The refrigerator in our room would not stay on, my son’s room flooded and they had to be moved! We were told that the outside courtyard was not available after 10 for fires or gatherings. The next morning our group met in the courtyard and there was bottles and garbage everywhere and several of our group reported that there were people in the courtyard until 3 AM keeping everyone with a courtyard room awake! We stayed an extra night and we were quoted a cheaper price for the third night but when we checked out it was a different price entirely! Only breakfast options were from a Starbucks in the lobby that was expensive and the pool was closed because of Covid we were told but everything else in the hotel was completely open! Lots of money for minimal service and quality!
NOISY - Thin walls, very noisy from hotel guests, HVAC and traffic

Location of this hotel is challenging. If you are driving in traffic, chances are that you will miss the turnoff. We had to get off of one freeway and then switch over three lanes to get to the turnoff. Kind of surprised they could get zoning to okay the location. It's in a business park. Walls are thin. So you can hear what's going on in other rooms. Our room on the second floor was right over an HVAC system and it felt like we were on a runway with the level of noise from this piece of equipment. We could have definitely asked for a different room, I realize that. But, it was late at night and we were tired. You can also hear the freeway noise. We asked for bed linens to be changed and they did not honor the request. Front desk said that there were no notes on our record about it, so I had to make up the bed myself. There was no food for breakfast. I realize it's the end of the pandemic, but we have been staying in hotels for the past few months and every Hyatt and Marriott we stayed in had a grab and go. This place had coffee, and that was it. Our shower was modern, the kind with a piece of glass, but no door. So water from the shower went all over the floor.
Good, with room for improvement

Pros: Typical Courtyard maintenance and cleanliness, comfortable beds, close to many things. Cons: Typical Courtyard rooms favoring style over function, thin walls, limited television channels, expensive lobby market, close to many things but not close enough. I appreciate Courtyards for their consistency and reliability- the properties are always well-maintained, new or recently-remodeled, and everything is spotlessly clean. But I have issues with the recent remodels emphasizing style over function- the rooms look nice but there are very few drawers for clothing (and the ones provided are very low to the ground), the gray walls and carpeting are sometimes gloomy, and the small refrigerators are useless for more than a few bottles of water. This Courtyard is in a location that's close to NYC (about 25 minutes to midtown Manhattan without traffic) and one of the region's largest shopping centers is across the highway (Willowbrook Mall) but the the property is stuffed into the back end of an office park with no way to walk to anything of interest. The location's limited signage also means those not familiar to the area will miss the driveway at least once, and there's not even a convenience store nearby to pick up drinks and snacks. This makes the high prices in the lobby market ($3.75 for a regular-sized candy bar?) even more outrageous. I enjoyed two solid nights of sleep but some details would have benefited from additional attention. The walls are so thin, a normal conversation taking place in the next room could be heard over the television until 9 o'clock, and the television itself had a limited number of channels compared to many other hotels. You'd best ask for a room not facing I-80- being about a hundred feet from the window of my room, the sound of trucks and cars with coffee can exhausts might wake light sleepers in the middle of the night. I wouldn't be averse to staying here again (especially because I'm a Marriott Bonvoy gold member) but there are other, better options in the area at the same price point, so a little research would be prudent.
