We stayed the night over here to get an early start on the national park. It was a clean room with working amenities.
I had all but given up hope on super 8 after this vacation and this place restored my faith that a cheap hotel room for a one nighter is still a great way to go. It had a bathtub that was also clean enough for me to feel comfortable bathing my two small children in. Only complaint is that the air conditioner is actually more like a swamp cooler
Good location, budget hotel

It was what we thought it would be. Just a stop over traveling through. Location is good with many food options in the area. Staff was friendly and check in was easy but rooms need some work. Breakfast option was also super basic. So basic that we just had coffee to go.

Room was actually better than we expected. Great value and very clean. Staff member was friendly and helpful. If you you are looking for a place that is not to expenisve, clean, and in a great location...I would recommend this establishment.
Wyndham Waynesboro - there are better choices in the area

I wish I could say that it was good for the price, but it wasn't exactly cheap. Torn carpeting greeted me when I first entered to check in. There were no ground level rooms; 1st floor was 5 steps down and sub-ground level, and the 2nd floor was 5-6 steps up - sort of like a split level. The hotel just seemed creepy and low class with dimly lit, narrow hallways. Not at all like the Super 8's at which I stayed in the past. I think Wyndham Group is sucking the life out of these, once decent, hotels. I get the feeling the chain is being run by some "clever MBA" person who is just slashing operating budgets for the sake of showing short term profits. Stupid, predator strategy. Otherwise, there are good restaurants in the area. Spend a little more and stay somewhere else.

If I could give no stars I would!
Prior to arrival we asked for a ground floor room. We explained that 2 out of 3 of the guests were disabled. Then we also texted it to the hotel. Upon arrival was put in a king room on the 3rd floor. Room 311. When I asked if there were elevators the desk clerk, Elizabeth acted put out and said that she climbs those stairs 3 times a day. I explained the situation and that my request was of a valid nature. She said, "Well no one read it "
She moved us to 105 , still seeming obviously annoyed.
After I got my Mother ( with cane) down to the room I noticed the boot print on my pillow. Yes. Boot print. We examined the sheets and pillows and found hair on them, mascara, dirt and the boot print.
I went back and told Elizabeth of our findings and offered to put the pillow cases on myself. She huffed and puffed and went to my room with me trailing. Upon entering we showed her our obviously dirty pillows and she said they were washed but stained. I guess those were some of those non washable tough hairs. Why on earth u would put a boot print stained pillow on a bed during a pandemic is beyond me anyway . She left with said nasty pillows giving us no idea of what the outcome was to be. 30 minutes later she came back with new pillows , threw them on the bed and now beyond a little annoyed, abruptly left.
At 12 midnight guests checked in above us. They partied till 3 am. The iced over freezer let loose a massive ice chunk at 3 am scaring the heck out of us. The partiers stopped at 3:20. We never got back to sleep. Due to a family issue we left the hotel in a hurry at 5:30 am. I decided to call later and speak to a manager. At 6pm I finally had time to call and got Chris. He obviously went to the same charm school as Elizabeth. He kept talking over me. Said the noise complaint was just guys that work all night ?? Um , ok.
Said , I never came to the desk in the morning to complain, I should have demanded a refund the night before , that I should have made noise complaints to friendly old Elizabeth. I should have made Eluzabeth call a manager.
I was stunned. I asked why this was on me ! Why am I the one at fault. He said fine I'm trying to offer you compensation but if you just wanna talk then go ahead, fine by me !
Still stunned I asked his name. He said I gave you names.
Finally got his name. Held for 7 minutes as his winning personality checked more people in. He offered me 40 percent. I declined so he said 50 is the best I am doing. You happy? To which I said no.
I took the 50 percent to stop his harassing tone and got more names as I wrote this review .
I find so much about this appalling. This is not about the money. We were there for what we had hoped was peace and a good nights sleep. Instead we were meet with more hostility and drama. The only nice thing I can say is the pictures in the room are lovely and Chris finally apologized over my tears.
