Best little inn
Room clean and comfortable. Quiet despite being situated beside main road.Graham and Kirsty were exceptionally friendly and helpful and ensured we had all we needed. Breakfast really nice with ample portions. Will definitely return
Clean but basic
Stayed here for 2 nights as a family of 4 with a dog. The rooms are clean and the staff are friendly and accommodating, the rooms are very basic and could do with a serious update. The breakfast was good, and we were able to order from just eat and eat in the bar of an evening. Overall it was a good stop on the way to the highlands but I felt that it was still quite expensive for what it was.
Clean spotless friendly staff
This was clean spotless and friendly bar staff and room staff.Phoned me a taxi at no cost beer good so overall quality.Full marks to all who work here. Will be back in a couple of weeks. There are other places in Dumbarton to stay but this was a good experience.
Brilliant
We arrived early , the hotel let us put my husbands bike in the room , we were also able too put our bags etc in the room. This enabled us to go off and explore the local area. A big plus is this hotel is pet friendly , we found the room ideal for our one night stopover. The staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble.
Decent
Stayed here (Farmhouse Next Door Annexe). We were in Balloch, around 7 miles away and in August it’s a sell out in Balloch and also in nearby places. We were pleased to get somewhere not too far away and this fitted the bill. For £78 including the dog (free) we were not disappointed. Room and bathroom were very comfortable. Bed was very comfortable although if your tall your feet might hang out the bottom. This property is situated virtually on a dual carriageway, although it’s not the busiest carriageway ever but still you do get a bit of traffic passing noise but it wasn’t off putting. A very good sleep was had. Breakfast is optional at £7 per head and I can honestly say it was the best breakfast I have had in any hotel or restaurant anywhere. 9.9 out of 10 for breakfast. Well done! Outside the hotel there is absolutely nothing to do. But a great place to stay if your passing through and just need a refresh. Or if you want to use it as a place to visit Loch Lomond then yes it’s worth it. No complaints whatsoever. Bar was dead and it was a Saturday. I think the accommodation side of things keeps them in business. I would definitely stay here again, but I would also try other places as well, but only because I like to sample different places.
