Filthy conditions with old food on the edges of the carpet, dirt on the bed clothes and mold all through the bathroom. A live hard shelled bug was walking on the ceiling and there were stains (from insects?) on the dirty curtains. The smoke alarm was hanging out of the wall and the rear security door was taped open. The room beside the exit was actively being used by a smoker(s), even though the hotel is advertised to be non-smoking. The desk clerk was surely and rude.
EXTREMELY DIRTY ROOM and TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

The front desk guy was on the phone and didn't say 1 word to me at check in. I had to look myself to see what room we were in. Our room was filthy. We found a bug, 2 Sudafed pill wrappers, dirt and someone's mask on the floor. The tv didn't work and when I told the desk person, he started telling me about his relationship with Comcast and told me sorry. My wife has cancer and is immune compromised which makes this VERY alarming for me. With covid, this is VERY concerning making me wonder if they even changed the sheets.
Horrible then Redeemed, Would Stay Again if in a Pinch

When I first walked up to my room on the second floor, the door was cracked open and bent down. I looked around and forced it shut. About this room: the layout was strange. The king bed was tucked in a cubby hole in the wall. The TV was an old version of a flat screen and very small. The furniture was dated and worn out. None of the lamps were plugged in. The only light controlled by a switch was by the door, and it was very dim. The room was humid and the air wasn't on. I went to the bathroom and found a pubic hair on the toilet seat, and five hairs on the floor. I pulled down the sheets of the bed and their was a hair under the sheets. I opened the refrigerator and it was NASTY inside. It seemed this room was vacant for a long time and very improperly cleaned. I went back to the front desk and asked for a different room. The clerk was very nice and gave me a new room on the third floor. This one was totally different. It was still humid, but it was clean and much more updated than the first room. One criticism I would give is I was disappointed in the curtains. The inside curtains were white and transparent. The thicker curtains were only on two half-rods and therefore they were not made to close. I wish I could have closed them to get better sleep. The breakfast was just okay. There wasn't much of a selection. The pool was NASTY. I would stay here again if in a pinch.

Stayed at hotel on a recommendation from a ffriend....I’m sure they must have stayed there a while ago . Outside of hotel was filthy sidewalks full of litter and cigarette butts, trash bins overloaded. Made reservation night before, desk told me a price of $72 (including tax) and that he would send me a confirmation email ( he said he had my email from my “Choice Hotels” card.. All of this was said to me in his accented English while chewing and yawning! (First Red Flag I should have acted upon) Never got an email, he also couldn’t find it when I got to the hotel and also said the price was $79.64. I told him that wasn’t the price he quoted me and if I-had. received the email as he said I would I would have been able to show him! Room was adequate....definitely not very clean (mold under rim of sink bowl). Breakfast included was a joke! Only a few store bought pastries and coffee....I am writing this from a very clean Holiday Express with great service and terrific breakfast for only a few dollars more!
Manager Shathena was very nice

I give it a 4 because it is an older hotel and the pool was closed I’m assuming because of COVID-19. We had a problem with our tv which couldn’t be rectified so we had to move to another room. Liked the new room better anyhow and we got a discount because of the manager. So apologetic and nice. Thank you.
