Wouldn't honor reservation without a deposit, in CASH
Reviewed 24 november, 2021
I booked this hotel as part of a holiday trip out of town, for the night before my flight out. The front desk clerk wouldn't honor the reservation (which had been paid in advance on hotels.com) without a deposit, which had to be paid IN CASH. Credit cards were not accepted (despite the obvious presence of a credit card machine. I was told that this was a policy made by the local manager of that individual Super 8. They would not work with me to resolve the situation with a credit card. (I did not happen to have $50 in cash; I rarely carry cash anymore). The hotels.com customer service said there was nothing on the website that said that credit cards couldn't be used. The front desk clerk was not the least bit polite or understanding. The hotels.com representatives also found him (named Chris, apparently) unhelpful as well. They relocated me to the Fairfield by Marriott across the street, which was quite nice. STAY THERE INSTEAD!!!
Maybe Try Another Wyndham Chain Motel

If you had stayed in the Wheat Ridge Super 8 motel back when it was new and first opened in the 1970’s (originally, it might have been a Ramada Inn), you’d be really happy because the same décor, and furniture, it appeared, was still there. I was first hit with the yucky smell of an attempt to try to cover up cigarette smoke from years past. Not a strong odor but it was there even if it’d been twenty years ago that someone last smoked there. Don’t know that the room had ever been painted inside, nor the motel inside or outside. The carpet was in poor shape, too, which was probably helping hold the old cigarette smell, along with the window curtains. Had the carpet ever been steam cleaned? I didn’t feel safe walking on it barefoot or in socks. The water pressure was poor. The toilet took forever to refill the tank; and, in the shower, you had to hug the wall to get enough water to rinse off. The continental, grab and go, breakfast was ridiculous. There were four more Wyndham motels at which I would be staying on this trip, two of which were Super 8’s. I was quickly questioning my motel decisions and changed my Super 8 reservations to different Wyndham chain motels. The other motels were quite adequate.
Never Stay Here

We paid for 3 nights and right at checkout we had someone beating on our door threatening the police despite my mom calling saying she is on her way to pay for more. The front desk lady was mean. They charged me a cancelation fee for some reason I had to fight for. Random people kept coming to the door and cleaning kept coming in and out regardless of the sign on the door. They need a new manager/owner ASAP.
Would never stay here again

Everyone we encountered here was rude. My brother who was in a fragile state and was threatened with the police if he didn’t checkout 30mins after checkout time. Instead of asking nicely or finding out what was up they threaten the cops. This was despite my mom coming there to extend his stay for him even though she called. the front desk person gave her 30 more mins. We spent over a $1000 there and we’re treated like we were squatting. There were other issues too with my credit card being charged a cancellation fee even though we didn’t cancel. I’ll never recommend this place to anyone and Wyndham lost a mileage customer.
